[Bug 1830532] Re: Writer does not export hyperlinks in second Table of Contents / Figures when exporting to PDF

2019-05-28 Thread Tim Hamilton
Thanks Marcus. I pulled 6.2.4.2 from the LO PPA this morning, and can
confirm it's fixed there. Looking forward to it dropping into main.

[Bug 1830532] [NEW] Writer does not export hyperlinks in second Table of Contents / Figures when exporting to PDF

2019-05-26 Thread Tim Hamilton
Public bug reported:

When exporting a document that contains both a Table of Contents and a
Table of Figures to PDF Writer does not correctly hyperlink whichever
table comes second.

Version: 6.2.3.2 (not present in 6.0.7.3 shipped with 18.04)

Severity: Normal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Writer, create document with a number of headings and images (see
attached)
2. Insert both a Tale of Contents and Table of Figures
3. Export document to PDF, either using File | Export As | Export as PDF or
using Export as PDF toolbar button
3. Open PDF in document viewer (Evince, Okular, Acrobat)
4. Test hyperlinks in ToC and ToF

Actual result:
Hyperlinks work in ToC, but not ToF.

Expected result:
Hyperlink work in both ToC and ToF

[Bug 1828811] [NEW] Applying autocorrect to text with URLs causes Writer to hang

2019-05-13 Thread Tim Hamilton
Public bug reported:

When attempting to apply autocorrect to text that contains URLs to
convert to hyperlinks (https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/6393/how-
may-i-do-writer-recognize-hyperlinks-automatically/) causes Writer to
stop responding requiring a force quit.

Version 6.2.2.2

Severity: Normal.

Reproducible:
Always

Steps to reproduce:
Open a new Writer document.
Turn URL recognition on - Tools | Auto Correct | Auto correct options | Options
tab
Insert text containing URLs (see below)
Set paragraph style to default
Apply auto correct - Tools | Auto Correct | Apply

Actual result:
Libre Office hangs

Expected result:
Auto correct applied, text urls converted to hyperlinks

Bug is evident in both deb and snap versions of LO, but not in earlier
5.x or 6.x series.

Sample test with URLs:
This webpage is and example of a url that should be able to be converted to a
hyperlink . As is this page
and this page .

These pages should also be able to be converted using the method linked
to above ,
.

A typical use for a page like this would be a bibliography or reference
list .

[Bug 1825513] Re: High CPU usage when large document open

2019-04-24 Thread Tim Hamilton
Hi Marcus, thanks for taking the time to look into this.

You're right, it doesn't seem like the lorem file I generated
consistently generates the bug, at least on Ubuntu 19.04 (the initial
bug was reported under 18.10). I'm away from home and don't have access
to 18.10 to test right now.

I do have another file that consistently spikes CPU that I can share for
testing purposes, though I'd rather not post on a public bug tracker. Is
there any way I can forward a copy to you?

[Bug 1317514] Re: Kupfer stops responding to keyboard input

2014-05-21 Thread Tim Hamilton
This bug also affects me, though it's behaviour is slightly different.

After a period Kupfer stops responding to some k/b input. As above,
Kupfter is invoked correctly and continues to respond to arrow keys and
the esc key. However, in my instance it stops responding to other k/b
input, eg. typing the name of a program.

Exiting Kupfer (using mouse input) and restarting resumes normal
operation for a while before the bug reappears.

The timing of when Kupfer stops responding to k/b appears random,
sometimes it'll be hours, sometimes only a few min.

[Bug 1174611] [NEW] tessaract ocr no longer available in gscan2pdf

2013-04-29 Thread Tim Hamilton
Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Ubuntu 13.04 Raring with gscan2pdf 1.0.4, tessaract
ocr engine is no longer available as an option under tools | ocr | ocr
engine.

This is similar to an upstream bug filed against Debian and marked as resolved
for gscan2pdf 1.0.2-1.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=665871

As with the upstream bug tessaract is installed on the machine making
a manual change to .gscan2pdf makes no difference as gscan2pdf continues
to use gocr.

[Bug 1135403] Re: xserver-xorg-video-intel regression (Intel 945GM) [xorg-edgers]

2013-03-10 Thread Tim Hamilton
I finally got around to testing xserver-xorg-video-intel -
2:2.21.3+git20130308.78c75612-0ubuntu0sarvatt~quantal that was published
in 08/03/10 and associated updates.

Happy to say that these seem to have pretty much resolved all issues
that I've raised in this bug.

3d acceleration is back, flash videos play and colour depth is fine.

Thanks very much for your work on this Chris.

Now to fix the kernel oops that is described here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-
intel/+bug/1020393 and here.

[Bug 1135403] Re: xserver-xorg-video-intel regression (Intel 945GM) [xorg-edgers]

2013-03-03 Thread Tim Hamilton
That's a shame, I've noted a couple of extra placed where regressions
are making themselves known, though I'm not entirely sure if they're
related 100% to this bug.

1. Flash video in Firefox is broken and does not render correctly. This is not
the case in Google Chrome.
2. Transparent backgrounds render incorrectly.

My mistake, turned the option on for the wrong kernel entry. This should
be better.
