[Bug 1307559] Re: Window decorations not drawn on external monitor

2016-06-08 Thread Toby Anderson
This bug affects me running 16.04 on an ThinkPad X1 Carbon connected via
HDMI to a Diamond Digital display.

Graphics card is Intel® HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2)

built-in display is scaled to 1.25, external display is not scaled. When
I scale the external display and put it back to 1 then the window
decorations are drawn properly.

[Bug 869502] Re: Kernel-Panic with 3.0.0.12-generic on asus eee pcs and msi wind (both using rt2800 wifi chipset)

2011-10-25 Thread Toby Anderson
I've tested on three kernels and got panics on all of them:

3.0.0-11-generic
3.0.0-12-generic
3.1.0-030100rc10-generic

I only get panics when When not plugged in to power adapter, and only
since upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10

I'm on an Eee PC 1001HA
I know I'm using rt2800pci for the wireless driver because I had to remove that
from /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf when I upgraded in order to get wireless
working.

Is there a workaround until this gets fixed?

[Bug 875571] Re: Panic occurred, switch back to text console and freezes - On 11.10

2011-10-17 Thread Toby Anderson
I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 when the update manager told me it was
available. This has happened about 5 times since then. There's no
particular application that's running when it happens as far as I can
tell. I took a photo of the screen when it crashed last time.

[Bug 336483] [NEW] ubuntu brainstorm layout doesn't work on low resolution screen

2009-03-01 Thread Toby Anderson
Public bug reported:

I'm using an EeePC with maximum screen resolution of 800x480. The Ubuntu
brainstorm website crops content off the right hand side. It doesn't
provide a horizontal scroll bar.

[Bug 222771] [NEW] serendipity expects directory /usr/share/php/smarty/libs

2008-04-26 Thread Toby Anderson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: serendipity

without the directory /usr/share/php/smarty/libs/ Serendipity doesn't
work. It looks for the file Smarty.class.php there. In Hardy this file
is found in /usr/share/php/smarty/ so I put in a symbolic link called
libs that links its parent directory and that fixed it.

Ubuntu 8.04
serendipity 1.2.1-1

[Bug 198285] [NEW] cannot move files when the destination is not local

2008-03-04 Thread Toby Anderson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu 7.10 fresh install
the problem seems to be in Nautilus (2.20.0) and not other file managers.
Many of my folders are mounted via NFS from my server.
When I try to move a file from a mounted folder to a mounted folder, or from a
local folder to a mounted folder by drag and drop I get an error: 'Error Not
on the same file system while moving filename.'

I expect the file to be moved if it's on the same file system or copied
if it's not, but this doesn't happen.
