[Bug 1779661] Re: Option to change Application Switcher color/opacity is broken

2019-11-11 Thread Tom Dignan
@Khurshid-alam

I have confirmed this bug on a standalone install of compiz on Ubuntu
server 18.04 - no unity, no mate, nothing.

Same results with both the application switcher and static application
switcher - can't change the background color or opacity. Some of the
other settings do work.

[Bug 1064962] Re: [SRU] Global menubar items do not work when opening a document directly from nautilus with no LibreOffice instance running

2012-11-07 Thread Tom Dignan
@Elvis

Forgive my noobishness, but could you explain what Fix Released means? I
had this problem and I had to fix it by installing this ppa: ppa
:bjoern-michaelsen/libreoffice-quantaltest-2012060 (thanks bjoern!)

I just did this now. I did apt-get update and upgrade before trying the
PPA and the bug persisted.

So I'm assuming Fix Released *doesn't* mean it's in the quantal-updates
or quantal-proposed repos yet?

Anyway, bjoern's PPA did the trick for me. Seems fixed.

[Bug 815482] [NEW] Flash plugin uses exorbitant amounts of CPU and locks up browsers on Xubuntu 11.04

2011-07-24 Thread Tom Dignan
Public bug reported:

I have reinstalled numerous times, it would seem to me at least that the
only steps to reproduce are to install the flashplugin on a fresh
xubuntu 11.04 installation. Perhaps it is video related. I have an ATI
radeon 4350 and I am using the fglrx driver. 3D games work awesome, so
does regular video playback, but flash is unacceptable for even normal
use. I've used flash on linux and on windows on this computer and had no
problems. It is an amd phenom x4 with 4gb ram,.

Thanks.

[Bug 704019] Re: unity forgot about my terminals, shows a blank spot

2011-04-30 Thread Tom Dignan
This happened to me too! After a few minutes of using unity, i dragged
the terminal over to the panel and it entered in as a blank space. I
couldn't reproduce it though.

Also I think we should be able to drag icons to the bottom of the
panel... It doesn't allow this for some odd reason.

Scratch that, on my system the module exists. I think it might be a
x86-64 related problem, so I'm going to try a 32 bit install.
