I can also confirm that the test kernel located at
https://people.canonical.com/~khfeng/lp1813663/ fixed my issues as well.

[Bug 1813765] Re: Freeze on Lenovo laptop in dock station

2019-01-29 Thread Tomas Jonsson
Same for me as well, but running Dell XPS 13 with a Dell WD15 docking station.
The scenarios for me have been:

1, When changing the screen resolution on my laptop, both screens turns
blank and I have to reboot the computer

2, If power saving for the screens kicks in. I have to reboot the
computer.

After downgrading to 4.15.0-43-generic the problem disappears.

The computer is still responding to ping when pinging from another
machine tough.

[Bug 283385] [NEW] unable to to copy and paste files in a rdesktop session with glipper active

2008-10-14 Thread Tomas Jonsson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: glipper

Description:Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release:8.04

Package: glipper v1.0
Package: rdesktop v1.5.0
Package: tsclient v0.150

What to expect: Copy a file on a remote computer from location A to
location B. (For example, copy a file from C:\temp1\ to C:\temp2\)

What happens: Nothing happens.

Description:
With glipper active, it's not possible to copy paste files on the remote
computer when connecting with the rdesktop command. (Except the drag and drop
method)

On the remote computer, if you right click on a file, and choose Copy,
and then try to right click again, paste is grayed out. (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+v
gives the same result, nothing happens, but copying text seems to work
fine.)

Have tried to connect to both Win 2k3 and Win XP machines.

If I disable glipper, it works as expected.
And, if I use tsclient instead of the rdesktop command, it also works as
expected.

** Affects: glipper (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 203527] Re: Clicking on clock applet hangs gnome-panel

2008-10-13 Thread Tomas Jonsson
Got the same problem with the clock/calendar.
Found that rename/remove the ~/.gnome2 folder was my solution to the problem.

Before I did that, I tried to reinstall evolution, remove everything
under ~/.gconf/apps/evolution, disable weather reports, but the only
thing that worked for me was renaming the ~/gnome2 folder.
