[Bug 2000798] Re: cannot connect to K380 bluetooth keyboard
I revisited this and have apparently found a way to work around it. The keyboard can be reset, which I understand to mean that it forgets pairing information. The following sequence of keys resets it: o o b You should see all 3 lights turn on, signalising that the reset was successful. After that, I paired the keyboard with my phone and both of my laptops without issue, including the laptop that refused to connect to the keyboard for the last year or so. (What a relief!) As a reminder, to pair device #1 to the keyboard, press and hold F1 for 3 s, until the light starts to blink. Then connect to the keyboard from device #1, enter the confirmation code and you're done: repeat for the remaining 2 devices. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2000798 Title: cannot connect to K380 bluetooth keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/2000798/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Clicked on it, got a pop-up window for that device, clicked "connection". Observed: the connection switch was flipped from "off" to "on" and back in an instant. Expected behaviour: the switch stays moves to "on" and after a slight delay the connection is established. Workaround: try several times in a row, until getting the expected behaviour. [Bug 1886642] [NEW] Error on graph run: "The xterm executable '' is missing."
Public bug reported: Created a simple model with a file source and waterfall sink to check a recorded signal's frequency. When I ran the model, I got the following error: The xterm executable '' is missing. You can change this setting in your gnuradio.conf, in section [grc], 'xterm_executable'. (This message is shown only once) xterm is installed and "which xterm" says that it's at /usr/bin/xterm . GNU Radio should detect xterm when being installed, set the necessary setting and run without errors. Also, the error message seems to be misleading (targetting a different distribution?): I don't have a gnuradio.conf, but I do have a /etc/gnuradio/conf.d/grc.conf which will probably do the trick. In other words, a manual workaround is to edit grc.conf as suggested in the error message, but a user should not have to do this. [Bug 241604] Re: Maximum zoom in Evince is 400%
@Timothee What is ridiculous is making comments which sound very much like entitlement, while expecting other people to do all the work for free. Sure, this is a nuisance, but obviously not a very big one, otherwise there would be more pressure and willingness to get it sorted out. If it was that much of a problem for me, I'd take a look at the code and propose a patch: sounds simple enough to do, but it's not important enough to me. As it is, "I'm going to switch to Windows and Adobe because I can't zoom in more than 400% in a PDF" is a completely bizarre threat. If that's all it takes, you'll be switching between operating systems faster than socks, in which case, it doesn't matter anyway. Otherwise it's just lashing out, which again doesn't matter (at best) or is counter- productive (at worst). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241604 Title: Maximum zoom in Evince is 400% To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evince/+bug/241604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 939335] Re: Missing options to run at critical battery level as hibernate and suspend [Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 2]
Critical low power behaviour appears to me to be completely broken: - "hibernate" option shown in the menu, but disabled - why would it be shown if not selectable? - "shutdown" option available: what possible reason could the user have to shut down the system when the battery is critically low? There will likely be loss of information anyway (unless the user has a chance to save any files being edited...?)... - "suspend" option missing: it has been mentioned that "suspend" is actually the default behaviour, but it doesn't work. - "do nothing" option missing: why shouldn't it be possible to say "give me every last particle of charge the hardware can deliver" when e.g. surfing the web, listening to music, reading a book...? [Bug 1507224] [NEW] mplayer keyboard controls don't work with audio files
Public bug reported: Observed keyboard hotkey behaviour: - don't work with audio files with regular users or using sudo - work perfectly with video files with regular users - don't work with video files when using the -novideo option Expected behaviour: - should always work, for all types of (supported) files Other notes: - up to relatively recently (1 month?), everything was fine - it may have something to do with window focus (mplayer creates a new window for video files...) - the following messages are always displayed, regardless of the -novideo option: "Cannot open file '/home/tna/.mplayer/input.conf': No such file or directory Failed to open /home/tna/.mplayer/input.conf. [Bug 1507224] Re: mplayer keyboard controls don't work with audio files
Forgot to add: this affects 2 machines and no custom keyboard hotkey mapping was performed on either. [Bug 1018371] [NEW] Unable to open multiple files in Firefox from Nautilus at once
Public bug reported: Selected a number of XML files in Nautilus, open with - Firefox and Firefox opens 3 out of 4 files. The 4th is missing and I see no pattern in which file fails to open. When I select just the missing file, I can open it in Firefox without a problem. Also, the problem is not reproducible from the terminal (firefox *.XML) so I imagine it has something to do with Firefox. Not a big issue, but 100% repeatable: I don't imagine it should be difficult to reproduce.
