[Bug 152675] Re: Rhythmbox plays about half a second of music when closed if crossfading enabled

Hi
I'm using Rhythmbox 0.11.2-0ubuntu4 with 1.0 second delay crossfading delay,
Gutsy and Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller. I

This should not be wishlist as it is a bigger problem: crossfading
doesn't work with pausing. See duplicate bug 156354.

2007-10-23 Thread Tommi Asiala
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Steps to reproduce
1. Enable crossfading
2. Play a song
3. Pause in the middle of the song
4. Select next track

[Bug 156364] Nautilus' background does not follow theme

[Bug 156364] Re: Nautilus' background does not follow theme

2007-10-23 Thread Tommi Asiala
Pedro, this is not a bug in the theme. The problem is somewhere else and
I'm guessing Nautilus since every other application follows the selected
theme. Also, try using with the supplied High contrast inverse theme and
you will notice the same behaviour.

[Bug 156364] Re: Nautilus' background does not follow theme

2007-10-23 Thread Tommi Asiala
Pedro, good point about being a new user. I tested high contrast inverse
theme as a new user and it looked different. So, some configuration must
be wrong on this account. I have used it through upgrades so something
along the way has probably broken it.

Thanks!

[Bug 94862] Re: kernel 2.6.20-xx incorrectly claims processor overheating

2007-05-05 Thread Tommi Asiala
This is a bios bug for me. After restarting computer twice after the
bios stage, the bios does report correct temperature.

Felix, what does your bios report as the CPU temp? If it's incorrect for
you too then I think this bug should be closed since it's a
hardware/bios problem (like Jaume Figueras already reported).

2007-03-31 Thread Tommi Asiala
I get the critical temperature error only on the first boot but not on
the reboot after the error. This is a desktop computer and I've checked
the temperature from bios, it's not 91C.

I'm running Linux 2.6.20-10-generic with feisty. I can't run 2.6.20-11
or later due to an another bug.

[Bug 45739] Re: Loud startup noise during boot

2007-02-01 Thread Tommi Asiala
Lowering the volume isn't the right answer for this bug since for
example the live / installer dvd could be used in places where silence
is wanted. I don't have any hot keys on my laptop to control volume and
even if I did, I would still need to know and remember that there will
be a sound so I could react on it.

I am suggesting that either booting and login have no sounds as default
or that there should be an option in the media boot menu which mutes
sounds. I think latter option is better.

[Bug 82673] GDM Setup Login Window Preferences window too big for 1024x768

2007-02-01 Thread Tommi Asiala
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

Bug type: minor, ui

Problem: gdmsetup preferences window seems to be designed to fit exactly
to a 1024x768 screen with one 24px panel. As a default, Ubuntu has two
24px panels which results to that the lower panel overlaps the
preferences window by 24 pixels. It isn't much, the bottom panel is only
slightly over help and close buttons.

Possible solutions: cut down the theme selection list height by 24
pixels or rework the window otherwise to be less tall

Versions used: Gnome 2.17.90, Ubuntu Feisty

[Bug 61989] Re: Message too long

2006-09-23 Thread Tommi Asiala
I too had the same problem with D-Link DES-1008D switch. I didn't have
this problem with Linksys WRT54G.

I read earlier about removing the interface-mtu parameter but doing
only that didn't do any good. The mtu must have been wrong because when
following bertoldic's instructions it started working.
