Daniel, Thank you for your reply... I did what you asked and it works (now!!!?). I got output(s) as you described. Then I did it again (the original way I did it before) and it still works!!!? I'm not too sure what happened between the first time and this time. Maybe I should reformat, install Natty, and try the system test again. Do you want me to do that? Daniel, OK, that sounds fine to me, mark it invalid. I figure the machine I cobbled together from spare parts, just had a belly ache and didn't wanna-do-it. Thanks again for the help. Public bug reported: I tried to test my system after a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04, there is an issue when it tries to open Open Office Writer (etc) to test (whatever it was trying to test).
