[Bug 1448796] [NEW] GMT (pscoast, psxy) connects line segments incorrectly
Public bug reported: GMT pscoast and psxy connect line segments incorrectly. Example: GMT pscoast -W1 -R-80/-30/-40/20 -JM10c -Gred southamerica.ps produces lines connecting points on the coastline or crossing the Amazon river. Similarly, psxy plots files derived, e.g., from ogr2ogr (gdal) incorrectly: GMT psxy -R-46.7528/-46.7370/-1.04990/-1.03850 -JM10c -m -W1,black,- roads.gmt roads.ps (roads.gmt is derived from a OpenStreetMap postgresql/postgis database via ogr2ogr; endpoints of roads are in fact not connected by straight lines, as rendered by gmt). [Bug 1259916] Re: authz_core:error] AH01630: client denied by server configuration: /usr/lib/iipimage-server/
Similar problem here with 14.10 (previsouly upgraded from 14.04). I did a fresh install of iipimage-server and proceeded as specified in /usr/share/doc/.../README.Debian. It does apparently not matter whether one gives permissions via Order ... or Require ... in /etc/apache2/mods- enabled/iipsrv.conf. Other cgi-scripts (mapserv) work on my machine; no alterations were made to sites-enabled etc. I also tried calling /usr/lib/iipimage-server/iipsrv.fcgi --bind 127.0.0.1:9000 directly (according to an example given on http://iipimage.sourceforge.net/documentation/server) but was not able to communicate with the program over port 9000 with a browser or nc. I would be good if the README would contain a section about possible sources of errors + more detailed examples of the expected behaviour. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1259916 Title: authz_core:error] AH01630: client denied by server configuration: /usr/lib/iipimage-server/ To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iipimage/+bug/1259916/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1277641] Re: German keyboard layout loses tilde dead key
I understand that people who do not write texts with ã, ñ etc. rather like to type ~ directly, e.g., in path names or LaTeX source. However, transferring the ~ dead key to a legacy keyboard layout (14.04 release) gives the impression that the option to use ~ as an accent will be removed completely in the future -- and that should not happen! [Bug 1079112] [NEW] localc crashes when trying to open a specific (possibly damaged) .ods file
Public bug reported: localc crashes when trying to open a specific, older .ods file (attached). The file might be damaged, however, the error is not obvious as opening the file with fileroller etc. works and the XML files within seem to be superficially ok. The crash occurs while reading the file. When started as below, the calc window appears for a moment on the screen, with the read file progress bar moving. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a backtrace with debug symbols at the moment due to space problems. $ localc --backtrace test.ods GNU gdb (GDB) 7.5-ubuntu Copyright (C) 2012 Free Software Foundation, Inc. [Bug 870874] Re: LDAP user with automounted nfs homedir cannot login
I see a similar problem here after upgrading from a working 10.04 setup with nfs mounted home directories and ldap user database and kerberos authentification. Weh using lightdm, the systems seems to hang. When starting gdm, the login is taking place but the gnome/unity sessions are not started. When the user is logged in on the console (Alt + F1 etc.) and sets the display variable correctly, it is possible to start gnome- session manually. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870874 Title: LDAP user with automounted nfs homedir cannot login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/+bug/870874/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 870874] Re: LDAP user with automounted nfs homedir cannot login

[Bug 835662] [NEW] LibreOffice Base forms become extremely slow after switching from currently unusable PostgreSQL SDBC driver to JDBC
Public bug reported: We have been using OpenOffice/LibreOffice Base and SDBC for a long time to access our PostgreSQL databases. After SDBC has apparently gone defunct (tables are all read only), we had to switch to JDBC. However, opening and using forms via JDBC is extremely slow. Following suggestions from the PostgreSQL JDBC mailing list, I logged the queries issued by both drivers (log file is attached). While both drivers spend only a short while doing queries (JDBC: 0.65 s, SDBC: 0.62 s in my test case), the difference in total time used is huge (at least 49 s with JDBC, 2 s with SDBC). It looks to me that JDBC itself cannot be blamed for this bad performance, so I consider this behaviour as a bug of LibreOffice base. Please let me know if you do need any additional information, for example about the used database tables. The table of the form I used for the attached example log is rather unwieldy (many columns), but it has only ~5.500 rows. Anyway, the effect is observable also with much simpler tables and the respective forms. I hope you will be able to track this down ..., Cheers, Ulf ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: libreoffice-base 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-11.48-generic 2.6.38.8 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-11-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Aug 27 17:29:31 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-04-29 (119 days ago) ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835662 Title: LibreOffice Base forms become extremely slow after switching from currently unusable PostgreSQL SDBC driver to JDBC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/835662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree Web pages using the FSI flash viewer (http://www.fsi-viewer.com) like http://sweetgum.nybg.org/vh/specimen.php?irn=992680 cannot be used normally on our machines running Ubuntu 10.04/amd64 and Firefox 3.6.9 with Shockwave Flash 10.1.r82. The toolbar buttons of the viewer do not react, and panning with the mouse is not possible. Zooming via context menu works (right-click). This is probably rather a flash- than a Ubuntu problem, but maybe somebody who might possibly fix it can be contacted by the people reading this bug report ... [Bug 588665] [NEW] in an UTF-8 environment, aspell spell-checking does not work for languages like portuguese
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs23 when activating spell-checking via aspell and choosing a dictionary like brasileiro, words with letters like ç (c-cedilla) are not correctly recognized; in flyspell-mode, it appears that emacs uses the unknown characters as word boundaries. The problem has probably to do with 1) not passing the charcater set correctly to the aspell process (aspell *can* check texts in UTF-8 when called from the command line and 2) the setting of ispell-dictionary-alist etc., where iso-8859-1 is hard-coded as character set for most non-english languages. [Bug 577441] [NEW] privoxy does not access sites via network-manager established GSM modem connections without being restarted
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: privoxy I use a GSM modem to connect to my internet provider. After logging in, network manager establishes automatically a connection when the modem is present. However, when trying to access sites with a browser via privoxy, privoxy reports that a connection cannot be established. After restarting privoxy manually via /etc/init.d privoxy restart everything works. I observed similar behaviour already in 9.10. [Bug 318325] Re: [X1100] flickering after resume from ram
I've observed quite the same behaviour as reported here on a Lenovo Thinkpad R60 (Radeon Mobility X1400). If additional data (lspci, Xorg.0.log, ...) would help fixing this bug, let me know. -- [X1100] flickering after resume from ram https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
