[Bug 577377] Re: DVB-T USB tuner dib0700 wrong initiated (no "cold state" step)

2010-05-13 Thread VSN
Hi,

I have installed and tested the last upstream kernel (2.6.34-999) as
requested. Result: the issue is not present there any more.

As to the problem. I finally got to know that exactly cold/warm states
mean. So, the way it works now is right: after a restart (tuner is
always connected to PC) the tuner has to be found in warm state, as the
firmware was uploaded. OK. The problem is, every time the tuner is found
in warm state (after a restart, for example, assuming the tuner is
always connected to PC) it doesn't work (DiB0070 I2C write failed) and,
more over, my usb hub (integrated in a south bridge AMD SB600 of my GA-
MA69G-S3H motherboard) doesn't work any more, too. I have to disconnect
the tuner, in order it will be found in cold state at the next boot, and
restart my PC.

How could I help further?

Regards

[Bug 577377] [NEW] DVB-T USB tuner dib0700 wrong initiated (no "cold state" step)

2010-05-08 Thread VSN
Public bug reported:

Hi,

I'm running fully uptodate Ubuntu 10.04 and have the following problem
with my DVB-T USB stick Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS (dib0700).

The DVB-T stick is always attached to my PC and sometimes it doesn't
work properly. Meaning I get a I/O error message while trying to watch
TV with Kaffeine player (s. below DiB0070 I2C read failed). More over if
I disconnect the stick there are NO messages about that events in
kernel.log and any other USD device shows the same behavior - it doesn't
work and there are no messages in reknel.log by connecting or
disconnecting it.

I noticed that this happens every time when the stick immediately found
in warm state and the step of loading the firmware (dvb-usb-
dib0700-1.20.fw) is missing.

This is the kernel.log for the case the stick doesn't work

[Bug 569429] Re: relocation error: symbol __fxstat64, version GLIBC_2.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

2010-04-28 Thread VSN
Hi Loïc,

I just have reinstalled the libc6 via synaptic. After that I was able to
reinstall successfully all three packages which installation failed last time.
I also noticed that all 3 packages was marked as "installed" in synaptic BEFORE
I reinstalled them.

Anyway, it is only RC and I'm looking forward to final release.

Thank you for your efforts!

[Bug 404970] Re: DVB-T play fail with error

2010-04-28 Thread VSN
[UPDATE]
on Ubuntu 10.04 RC the bug regarding double click is fixed. I supposed because
kaffeine doesn't use phonon any more.
But you still have to install libxine1-ffmpeg manually in order to be able to
watch DVB.

PS Kaffeine Version 1.0-svn3

Hi,

got the updates yesterday, played a little with nvidia drivers (remove,
install, activate and so on) and it looks like the bug was fixed.

Great job, Alberto! Thx.

[Bug 543176] Re: should specify version of nvidia driver; not just "current"

2010-04-12 Thread VSN
@ Martin. I agree with you - the package of the current nvidia driver
(195.26.15) is called "nvidia-current", so it is not a jokey issue,
otherwise, as you sad, we will have diff names. If the X maintainers
decided to call the package so being aware of that issue, then they have
had enough arguments for this decision. Finally they are experts and
responsible for maintenance.

[Bug 552653] Re: [Lucid] Jockey gives message that it failed to install nvidia hardware driver

2010-04-11 Thread VSN
Hi,

finaly I have found the right bug report about my problem :) The are too
much new bug reports about that issue.

I confirm, that inspite of the error message during the installation the
NVIDIA driver was installed and works after a reboot.

BUT after a reboot Hardware Drivers writes "a different version of this driver
is in use". After pressing the Activate button I got the same error message:
Sorry, the installation of this driver failed. Please have a look at the log
file for details.: /var/log/jockey.log.
See screen shot.

I hope the fix you proposed will fix this problem too.

Thx

[Bug 543176] Re: should specify version of nvidia driver; not just "current"

2010-04-11 Thread VSN
Agree, asked myself a couple of times which version of nvidia driver do
I use in order to post some bug reports. In other case the next version
of nvidia will be also called current and it will be difficult to differ
"old" current version from "new" current version.

You can see you driver version in NVIDIA X Server Setting or in Synaptic
choused you installed driver.

[Bug 404970] Re: DVB-T play fail with error

2009-11-07 Thread VSN
Hi!

Ubuntu 9.10 final, DVB-T USB, Kaffeine 1.0-per 2.

The same problem: "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media
data". I have also a DVB-S (PCI) card and it works perfectly.

I have just tested the way toams posted: It seems the solution is not
double clicking on the channels! It works for me too

PS I had to install the libxine1-ffmpeg manually too, it would be great
if this would work somehow automaticly.

Regards,
VSN

[Bug 442074] [NEW] The second button click with no mouse movement has no action

2009-10-04 Thread VSN
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: checkbox

Hi everyone,

Ubuntu 9.10, beta, i386
GNOME 2.28.0
Kernel 2.26.31-11

I have the following problem. If I click a button AND make NO movement
with my mouse AND click the same button again there is no further action
which is supposed to be by clicking this button. With the second click
the color of the button changes, but no action follows.

I have this problem with system Testing Aplication
(System->Administration->System Testing), button „Next“.

The same problem I can observe with other Gnome aplications, e.g.
Display (System->Preferences->Display), button „Detect Monitors“.

[Bug 313715] Re: Lirc doesn't support originally IR for Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS

2009-01-21 Thread VSN
Hi,

I use Ubuntu 8.10 and have the same device Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS

I also didn't get the remote control working.

The stick itself works perfectly. It was auto initialized by Ubuntu. By
the command sudo dmesg | grep usb I got

[ 12.382840] dvb-usb: found a 'Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS' in warm state.
[ 12.382910] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the

[ 12.841249] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 150 msecs.
[ 12.841256] dvb-usb: Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS successfully initialized and
connected.
[ 12.841564] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_dib0700
[ 16.976828] usb-storage: device scan complete

It shows that the remote was also initilized.

The LIRC didn't support the remote. Auto-detect reported a error: No IR
Receivers Found

I have found the config file for this remote. It is attached.

I hope this problem will be fixed soon.
