[Bug 1423436] Re: Start up and other issues in Liferea

2015-02-20 Thread Vanamali
There is no change in the behavior!

The odd behaviors are found only the first time I open liferea after
booting. Hence I restarted the machine every time I made the changes you
had asked. The odd behaviors persist.

[Bug 1423436] Re: Start up and other issues in Liferea

2015-02-19 Thread Vanamali
Hi,

Apologies for two complaints in one post. Shall I remove the second
point from the bug report?

1. ps aux | grep liferea gives the following output:

@Enigma:~$ ps aux | grep liferea
vanamali 3511 0.9 0.5 865652 41272 ?Sl 15:04 0:00 liferea

--color=auto liferea

I've added liferea to the startup as well. But the problem was present
even before that.

2. I run Ubuntu/Unity
Following outputs might help:

vanamali@Enigma:~$ echo $DESKTOP_SESSION
ubuntu
vanamali@Enigma:~$ echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
Unity
vanamali@Enigma:~$ echo $GDMSESSION
ubuntu

Thanks

[Bug 1423436] Re: Start up and other issues in Liferea

2015-02-19 Thread Vanamali
I just checked with and without adding to startup. Both give the same
result. The system tray icon is present, output of 'ps' says it is
running, but the window is absent.

I took a screenshot of the window after I managed to open it and before
making any changes. The feeds are hidden. I've to manually drag the
border. (This corresponds to complaint #2.) The screenshot is attached.

[Bug 1423436] [NEW] Start up and other issues in Liferea

2015-02-18 Thread Vanamali
Public bug reported:

I'm facing two issues with Liferea:
1. Clicking the icon once in the launcher doesn't launch liferea. The cursor
shows the busy animation for a while and stops. I've to click the icon again to
launch the program. Same with command line. Typing 'liferea' doesn't open
liferea. The icon on the launcher has to be clicked again.
2. By default the height of the feed display area of any subscription is nearly
zero. I've to click and drag the the border to get any useful height every time
liferea is opened.

Both the problems are experienced when liferea is used for the first
time after booting the laptop. Subsequent instances work normally.

[Bug 1320438] [NEW] Unity launcher auto hide fails on screen unlock using Super+L

Public bug reported:

I use a Compaq cq40 running Trusty. If I lock the screen using the

once brings up the dash home, hitting once again hides the launcher).
This is not observed if use the Ctrl+Alt+L hotkey. The following are

[Bug 1108612] Re: side menu (List of Categories) displays links but no names

2013-02-12 Thread Vanamali
The current GTK theme is 'Radiance'; Cursor theme is 'DMZ White'; Icon
theme is 'Human' (These results were obtained through the terminal as
the tweak tools have both crashed). Further, the problem is not with the
color of the text. The text size have shrunk so much that, the links
appear to be a continuum i.e, no break between the consecutive links.

[Bug 1108612] [NEW] side menu (List of Categories) displays links but no names

The attached image shows a screenshot the software center(USC). You may
notice that the list of categories on the left side is missing (One can
find an empty box!). Even though it looks empty, when I hover the mouse
pointer above it, it indicates the presence of hyperlinks. Those
hyperlinks work, but one doesn't know which category it links to until
you click the link. I tried changing the font, font size, it didn't
work. When started through terminal, I got the following messages:
