[Bug 1733888] [NEW] iwlwifi Error sending STATISTICS_CMD: time out after 2000ms.
Public bug reported: This started happening today so probably a new issue caused by a kernel update. Randomly, maybe every 45 minutes wifi disconnects and reconnects. Attached is a log output from dmesg. Looks like issue is in the iwlwifi driver. Disconnect causes TCP connections to drop so it's quite annoying for end user. [Bug 1719576] [NEW] Gnome-screensaver process keeps running after it's uninstalled
Public bug reported: Steps: 1. Run Gnome (see note) 2. apt remove gnome-screensaver 3. Let the screensaver lock the screen 4. Try unlocking Screen unblanks but the screensaver does not prompt for password and there is no easy way to resume working. Note: Really I ran Cinnamon with both cinnamon-screensaver and gnome-screensaver running (they should block eachother!) causing two lock screens. I uninstalled gnome-screensaver as guided somewhere, but the actual process wasn't killed. Fix for the bug is that the prerm script should kill remaining gnome- screensaver processes and/or gnome-screensaver should unlock if it detects it has been removed and cannot operate anymore. This should be tested well as it poses a security risk. [Bug 1589498] [NEW] Device file not created for TRC rudder
Public bug reported: (I reported this on linux-input ml but never got any replies. I hope this reaches someone who has any clue what's wrong) I have a USB HID joystick (professional grade rudder pedals) which are not properly recognized as joystick. Event device is created, but no /dev/input/jsX device node file. Other USB joysticks are recognized and proper node files are created, so I suppose this is a kernel issue. If not, could you point me to right direction? Here's all info I could dig out of the device. Tested on kernel 4.4.0-22-generic on Ubuntu 16.04. The pedals output sane events when testing with evtest, but are not found by applications as the jsX file is missing. [Bug 1441253] Re: hanging suspend job prevents shutdown
I just experienced the same issue, but I don't have anything related to btrfs in logs. I also had a problem on a laptop (Thinkpad E540) with external HDMI monitor not waking up. I tried to wake up the monitor by closing and opening the lid. Finally I tried to shut down in the display manager but nothing happened. Journalctl showed the same Failed to start poweroff.target: Transaction is destructive. error. Before this Suspend has never worked on the laptop. [Bug 1463376] [NEW] Google account needs re-authorization
Public bug reported: I have set up a Google account in Online Accounts app. Every few weeks there is a notification that applications can no longer access it and it needs re-authorization. I don't know if this is by design. When I set up the account, Ubuntu should remember it forever until I disable the account or change my credentials in Google. It is bad usability that the account must be re-authorized and causes users not to use the feature. I understand this increases security, but mandatory re-authorization every few weeks is way too often from user's point of view. ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463376 Title: Google account needs re-authorization To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts/+bug/1463376/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1459985] [NEW] r8169 ethernet stops working after a while
Public bug reported: I have a lenovoE540 laptop with a r8169 wired onboard ethernet. When the computer is started, ethernet works fine for about 20-30 minutes. After that network stops working. dmesg shows that initially the link is up and stays up: [ 41.806656] r8169 :04:00.0 eth0: link up There are no other networking related messages. Networking starts working again if I disconnect and connect again the cable. After this networking works until computer is shut down. This is reproducible and happens to me every day. There are also other reports on r8169 issues but I didn't find a matching bug report on launchpad. This happens only to this computer on network, so I doubt it's a DHCP or other network misconfiguration issue. http://askubuntu.com/questions/615423/ethernet-connection-randomly- disconnects-after-transmit-queue-0-timed-out http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90t=177544 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-backports- modules-3.0.0/+bug/839393 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: linux-image-3.19.0-18-generic 3.19.0-18.18 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-18.18-generic 3.19.6 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-18-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.1 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: vranki 2683 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: X-Cinnamon Date: Fri May 29 12:48:08 2015 EcryptfsInUse: Yes HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=71d76087-3fdf-4f57-a0f4-0b128be4d386 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-02-12 (105 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn - Release amd64 (20141022.1) MachineType: LENOVO 20C600LLMS ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-18-generic root=UUID=e114ca99-f1c7-450f-a4a5-553075d92b7c ro quiet splash RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.19.0-18-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.19.0-18-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.143.1 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to vivid on 2015-05-12 (16 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 03/04/2015 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: J9ET98WW (2.18 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20C600LLMS dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0E50510 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrJ9ET98WW(2.18):bd03/04/2015:svnLENOVO:pn20C600LLMS:pvrThinkPadEdgeE540:rvnLENOVO:rn20C600LLMS:rvrSDK0E50510WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.name: 20C600LLMS dmi.product.version: ThinkPad Edge E540 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1459985 Title: r8169 ethernet stops working after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1459985/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1419507] Re: gpu-manager writes wrong driver in xorg.conf fro nvidia-prime
This still happens on 15.04. I have a ThinkPad E540 with Optimus graphics. Plugging in a HDMI display causes display to go blank. [Bug 1268197] Re: UI freeze when doing import from 'Music' folder on first run
I think i can confirm this. I'm updating a large collection mounted on a sftp share. Importing progresses quite long, but after a while (1 hour or so ) ui becomes unresponsive.
