[Bug 1156787] [NEW] recommend optional dependancies

2013-03-18 Thread Vincent Carmona
Public bug reported:

Hi all.

I am using the ppa package but the universe one has the same issue.
Is it possible to set the optional dependancies (unique 0.9, libnotify, GTK+
3.0, gcr, zeitgeist) as recommonded packages and not mandatory ones?
I would like to remove zeitgeist and midori is the only packaqe preventing me
and I would also like to keep midori.

I have not yet install Precise and my debian unstable partition
does not boot anymore for quite some time all ready.
Please remind me to test it in some time.

[Bug 917872] [NEW] PackageKit not provided

2012-01-17 Thread Vincent Carmona
Public bug reported:

I am using ruby-gstreamer on Lubuntu 11.10 and PackageKit seems to
failed (see the output below). I am guessing that I am missing a
dependency in that case I think the dependency of
gstreamer0.10-packagekit package should be changed.

Before I was using Ubuntu (older version) a graphical window was
displayed to install the missing gstreamer plugin.

[Bug 917872] Re: PackageKit not provided

2012-01-17 Thread Vincent Carmona
I guess I had no PackageKit frontend.
After Installing gnome-packagekit package I have an other error (timeout: see
below).

My though is that gstreamer0.10-packagekit package should depend on one
of the frontends or at least recommend them but you will be a better
judge for this.
