[Bug 187964] [NEW] Xen kernel image package puts non-functional entries into GRUB's menu.lst

2008-02-01 Thread Virgee
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-xen-server

1) release:
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=7.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=gutsy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 7.10"
2) package version:
0.0.1-2ubuntu4
3) what happened:
Relevant part of /boot/grub/menu.lst reads

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-xen root=/dev/sda2 ro quiet splash
initrd  /boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-14-xen

but should be like

kernel  /boot/xen-3.1.gz
module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-xen root=/dev/sda2 ro quiet splash
module  /boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-14-xen

The first improper statement gives Error 13: Invalid or unsupported file
format. After changing, systems boots and works without problem.

[Bug 116563] Re: Knotes creates note on startup

2007-06-08 Thread Virgee
The issue is still there. My temporary solution is to have one empty
note and be used to it.

[Bug 116563] Knotes creates note on startup

2007-05-23 Thread Virgee
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: knotes

Having Knotes launched at session start on Ubuntu Dapper (Gnome) it
creates new empty note on its startup, if there are none from me. If I
have some, nothing gets created and Knotes works well. I use package
from repos (v 3.6)

Re: [Bug 58989] Re: Dual head with fglrx crashes Xorg when playing video without second monitor connected

2006-12-19 Thread Virgee
Hallo,
Edgy does not work at all with my configuration (fglrx ; I tried only upgrade,
not complete reinstall as it's a production machine), so for now I can not tell
as I stay with LTS version.

[Bug 58989] Dual head with fglrx crashes Xorg when playing video without second monitor connected

2006-09-05 Thread Virgee
Public bug reported:

When trying to play video file using Totem or MPlayer Xorg crashes when there
is no second monitor connected.
Xorg is configured to dual head using aticonfig. When there are both monitors
present everything goes allright. When there are not Xorg crashes and GDM login
screen appears few seconds after.
FGLRX is 8.28.8 manually installed, XOrg is 7.0.0-0ubuntu45 , Ubuntu is 6.06
Dapper with all updates, Kernel is 2.6.15.24.
Graphics is Radeon 9600 M.
xorg.conf goes like this

# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
#   sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
