[Bug 1822394] Re: [Dell BIOSes dated 27 Mar 2019] laptop keyboard & touchpad not working at gdm screen after boot
It's worth mentioning that even with the downgraded bios the mouse cursor frequently gets stuck requiring a screen flex to fix. In addition the downgraded bios exposes similar sticking on Windows. [Bug 1845188] [NEW] Ubuntu 19.10 Community Wallpapers
Public bug reported: Attached are the winning entries from the wallpaper competition for 19.10 (minus one where the artists didn't reply to my emails). These have been resized (and where needed cropped) to 3840 x 2160. I've put them all through Squoosh. Most are JPGs, but one is a PNG, the gradients didn't respond well to being JPGed. I have tried to keep the size below 500k where ever I can, but in some cases it has gone over in order to keep the quality acceptable. [Bug 1844643] [NEW] [UIFe] Change default theme to Yaru Ambience variant
Public bug reported: We've made a decision to ship the new Yaru themes light and dark as options in EE, not as the default. The default will actually be "Yaru Ambience" which is a very similar visual style to the traditional dark window header bars as in Disco. This will preserve the traditional look of the Ubuntu desktop for 19.10. There is a minor bug in Yaru Ambience which is being worked on right now (limited to GNOME Boxes and Videos) but I am filing this bug now in order to try and land the new changes as soon as that bug is fixed. The upshot of this change is that screenshots made since UI freeze could now look wrong when using the default theme. However, screenshots from previous Ubuntu releases will look more similar to 19.10. ** Affects: yaru-theme (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1844643 Title: [UIFe] Change default theme to Yaru Ambience variant To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yaru-theme/+bug/1844643/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1835625] Re: Shows old snap edge version of thunderbird
That's not true, we *should* be showing them. It was a conscious decision to make snapd and G-S show them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835625 Title: Shows old snap edge version of thunderbird To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1835625/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1835076] Re: No open button after installing .deb package
Marking as rls notfixing. This doesn't mean that we won't fix this bug, but that we won't block the release of E on getting it fixed. ** Tags removed: rls-ee-incoming ** Tags added: rls-ee-notfixing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835076 Title: No open button after installing .deb package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1835076/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1750645] Re: support encrypted block devices
Why is this marked as 'Fix Released'? I've just tried installing 18.04.2 from the Subiquity installer - there is still no way to add encryption. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750645 Title: support encrypted block devices To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1750645/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1833277] Re: LIvepatch widget should link to secure boot information on error
We dont need to worry about 19.10 as Livepatches aren't produced for non-LTS releases. I think we need to do some research in to how to best detect if Secureboot is enabled or not. If we can do that without too much bother we /could/ look at that setting, and at the error text produced by the livepatch cli and tie the two together. That feels a bit clunky though. I'll ask whoever is going to work on this to comment here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1833277 Title: LIvepatch widget should link to secure boot information on error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/1833277/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1833277] Re: LIvepatch widget should link to secure boot information on error
I've updated this wiki page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Livepatch We can now open that URL for users when they click on /something/. Either the bubble or the "More info" link from Software & Updates.
