[Bug 1847937] Re: 'gpu has fallen off the bus' after return from suspend

2019-10-22 Thread Wojciech Wieckowski
Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
As for now only calling pci_save_state() makes system usable on return from S3.

[Bug 1847937] Re: 'gpu has fallen off the bus' after return from suspend

2019-10-20 Thread Wojciech Wieckowski
Thank you. I just finished testing all three variants and none of them
solve the problem.

This time I used second computer to login via SSH and grab dmesg logs.

Problematic part always begins with this line:
nvidia :01:00.0: Refused to change power state, currently in D3

2019-10-17 Thread Wojciech Wieckowski
If this is not a problem for you, I would ask for binaries.

Both threads contain different versions of patches and I don't know if I
should take exactly that ones from the messages you are linking to or
the last available.

Thanks in advance!

2019-10-16 Thread Wojciech Wieckowski
Attached dmesg log shows S3 suspend and resume cycle on my machine with
pci_save_state() enabled. From my point of view it looks pretty normal
and fully supported.

435.21-0ubuntu2 from official eoan repository.
When this patch is removed from dkms.conf, after recompiling driver and
updating initramfs suspend/resume works as expected.

Correction - when I boot 5.3.0-13 no Nvidia proprietary driver is
loaded. That's why the bug does not appear here.

[Bug 1434226] Re: update hooks infinite recursion makes kded5 use excessive memory

2015-04-01 Thread Wojciech Wieckowski
After yesterday's system update plasma runs smoothly only ~2 minutes.
After that kded5 eats all ram and swap file and freezes the system. I
had to switch to openbox which is a real pain.
