[Bug 1638842] Re: network-manager does not manage ethernet and bluetooth interfaces when Ubuntu 16.10 is installed using chroot/netboot method

Ubuntu Mate 17.10 and comment #36 worked for me as well. Although I did
remove the file in /lib, thanks to somebody posting it here before I was
able to recreate it.

[Bug 220939] Re: Too easy to accidentally enter zoom mode (meta-R)

2009-10-03 Thread Xyverz
I have to say, the fact that you have to install compizconfig-settings-
manager to TURN THIS OFF is REALLY not a good thing. Is it possible to
set Enable Enhanced Zoom Desktop to off altogether, or have
compizconfig-settings-manager installed by default so that people can at
least find out how to turn this off?

Nope, still a problem in 9.10 beta

[Bug 224340] Re: Ubuntu 8.04 server kernel / Xen enabled / Nvidia problem

2008-06-27 Thread Xyverz
Yeah, I had problems as well. I had gotten it working with the provided
packages, but then it broke again.

I just ditched 32-bit and went back to 64-bit. No more problems.

Composite rendering works just fine for me. That would more likely be
an X configuration issue, and not a kernel / driver issue.

[Bug 224340] Re: Ubuntu 8.04 server kernel / Xen enabled / Nvidia problem

2008-06-04 Thread Xyverz
With the release of the 2.6.24-18-server kernel, this is no longer an
issue. I was able to install the kernel, install the restricted
modules, and have my nvidia goodness again.

How do we get the devs to change the status of this bug?

I am also having the same problem. I installed the server kernel so I
could use all 8gb of RAM in my system, but the nvidia module build
failed. It gave the Xen kernel error.

`dpkg -l|grep -i xen` returns zero results.

Also wanted to add, I don't believe this is a duplicate, especially not
of the ticket listed in previous comments. I *have* installed the
linux-restricted-modules after I installed the server kernel.
