[Bug 1915019] Re: it is not able to upgrade from 18.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS

2021-03-02 Thread Yulian
Thank you for your answer.
How can I remove ubuntu-desktop metapackages? When I try it removes just the
ubuntu-gnome-desktop package itself, still not able to upgrade to 20.04, I do
appreciate for any help

'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to
investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will
contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and
'apt.log'."

[Bug 1535048] Re: i915 driver seems to cause system crash at random

2016-01-18 Thread Yulian
It's very similar and i do sometimes experience the flickering as a
precursor to the complete crash, but mostly screen goes off and it just
crashes. Actually it freezes the whole PC. Keyboard is unresponsive. I
installed kdump, set soft, nmi etc. watches on but the PC does not
detect the crash and does not boot the second kernel :( and i dont have
a nmi button. All i can is power off and restart. Got ideas, how i can
trigger the kernel dump? Also i did experience the same issue with
15.10. I will add libdrm as affected.

RE: [Bug 1458995] Re: black squares instead of window shadows. missing title bar and buttons

2015-07-03 Thread Yulian
Hi,

well I found the cause and fixed it... it was the fall back to swrast
(software rasterizer in Mesa3D).

Though the DBus issues might still be relevant bugs.

MNhmh... It looks like that all the compiz aren't properly rendered...
 That's weird.

Do you get the same in other compiz plugins (when doing Super+s or
Super+W?), or in Alt+` or Alt+Tab in detail mode?

[Bug 1458995] [NEW] black squares instead of window shadows. missing tittlebar and buttons

2015-05-26 Thread Yulian
Public bug reported:

After compiling and installing the newest Mesa3d with nouveau enabled,
compiz gave up to put it simple. No work around has helped, neither
resetting its settings. As everything else seems fine, I and the nouveau
developers in irc decided it must be compiz and unitz related issue.

[Bug 975636] Re: Trouble setting library location to Pictures/Photos

2012-06-16 Thread Yulian Ardiansyah
I can confirm the same problem. After I changed the import
directory/library location in preferences, Shotwell somehow changed it
back to ~/Pictures some other time I opened it again. However, this is a
rather random behaviour since I can't always reproduce the issue even
after I've done some editing, merging event directories or deleting
photos in Shotwell.

[Bug 1001163] Re: System Settings not working in user menu

2012-06-09 Thread Yulian Ardiansyah
Found a workaround in Archlinux forum:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=140331

User Almehdin's method (post #3) works perfectly here. But it's still a
temporary solution until the official bugfix update arrives.

[Bug 706980] Re: Cannot add a separator into a menu

2011-08-18 Thread Yulian Ardiansyah
It's already four months since the release and the bug still exists.
Although it's not recommended, but I managed to overcome this by installing
alacarte version from previous version of Ubuntu (Maverick Meerkat - 10.10).

filename: alacarte_0.13.2-0ubuntu1_all.deb

[Bug 236778] Re: gnome appearance properties causes CPU spike hardy-proposed

2008-06-04 Thread Yulian Ardiansyah
The bug still exists.
I'm using UbuntuStudio 8.04, updated with recent kernel (2.6.24-18-rt).
Already tried installing the 2.22.2-0ubuntu3 version of the gnome-desktop-data
package from -proposed.

Conky reading shows that CPU still stays at 100% and I'm still unable to
choose the wallpaper with mouseclick.
