[Bug 877064] Re: Can't type in Dash search box

2012-04-07 Thread zap
My dash got the same problem. My workaround is to right click the search
bar and choose "None". (Default is Sytem(XIM) in my situation). Then I
can type.

[Bug 296867] Re: empathy needs to support OTR encryption

2011-05-28 Thread ZAP
@Jordan: There are a lot of us OTR junkies waiting in the wings to
congratulate you when you get this done. I'd really like to use Empathy
on my Gnome 3 system, but sometimes I really need OTR and it's not an
option not to use it. When you have code that can be tested, I'd be very
happy to give it a try and let you know if I find any bugs.

What's the ETA for getting this bug resolved? I've been running killall

we can test out?

I have had no crashes since I switched to using the Lucid mainline
kernel (starting with RC6 and now running the final version). Before I
did this my Karmic installation was too unstable to use at all. Deb

Any clue as to why this is happening and how/when it will be fixed?
There are a lot of us who are affected, and our systems are essentially
unusable. Any info that you can provide as to the status and prognosis
of this bug would be greatly appreciated.

@Robie: I tried your latest package, but it doesn't change this (buggy)

[Bug 303068] Re: Static IP ethernet network setting is lost after reboot

2008-12-10 Thread zap
I (an many others) can confirm this bug. Here are some links:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=973410
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=974382
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/5364 (comment
from gheeke from 2008-10-24)

The "workaround" above does not work for me since my provider has some
bogus DHCP server which will give me a wrong IP address. So after
creating a connection different from "auto eth0", after rebooting "auto
eth0" will be activated again, and my second connection will not have
any effect.

2008-03-12 Thread ZAP
I also experience this consistently, and it is also about 25% of the
time. My partner and I take turns playing (same level, etc.), and
sometimes when she finishes it enters my name in the high score box and
won't let her change it (my name is the user name). There is no error
message to report - the score dialog is just buggy!

Hello!

Now my printer also doesn't work. I Have tested the driver from

and a path before it! I think I must install a package but I don't know what
