[Bug 1096307] Re: Boot process hang because 'mountall' fails
I experienced the same boot hangup on a 64 bit 12.04 Ubuntu after the update of plymouth to Version: 0.8.2-2ubuntu31 I had a missing swap partition in my /etc/fstab file which triggered some mountall warning before. [Bug 877438] Re: Unity/compiz has sluggish performance on dual-head with nvidia driver
I got similar problems using single monitor configuration, just after upgraded my ATI card driver to the latest AMD propietary driver (12.2). Compiz used 50-80% of my CPU. Before I used AMD propietary driver (12.1) without experiencing this problem. So I consider this as a regression. My card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650. I just downgraded my AMD propietary driver back to version (12.1) and compiz CPU usage reduced to less than 10%, but usually between 0-2%. I'm not sure that my problem fit in this bug, since in the header it was mentioned that nvidia drivers dual head have problem. But the symptoms are quite similar. [Bug 414862] Re: acroread 9: you do not have permission to write to this file
I have the same problem. With previous Acrobat reader it worked properly. I could save any programs with Firefox to directories, located on a mounted ntfs or FAT32 partition, but could not save any files with Acrobat Reader into them. Affected lines from /etc/fstab : UUID=4839-85AC /media/data vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 UUID=60BCC7D1BCC7A040 /media/marci_kulso ntfs defaults,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 Output of 'ls -la' in the directory of/media: drwxrwx--- 14 root plugdev 16384 1970-01-01 01:00 data drwxrwx--- 1 root plugdev 4096 2009-09-03 16:16 marci_kulso I'm in the group of plugdev and I can read and write these mounted partitions without root permissions. I wounder if I could give Adobe Reader plugdev rights could solve the problem... -- acroread 9: you do not have permission to write to this file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/414862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 327468] Re: cdrom not accessable in kernel 2.6.27-11
I have the same problem with totally different hardware (IBM R40 laptop with DVD-ROM). With kernel 2.6.27-11 the DVD-ROM doesn't recognised. With kerel 2.6.24-23 everything works fine. Somebody else have the same problem, reported in ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1003447 (I also updated from 8.04 to 8.10. I'm not sure that this caused the problem). -- cdrom not accessable in kernel 2.6.27-11 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 293001] Re: SCIM disturbs keyboard focus
I also had the same problem using Kubuntu 64 (hardy and jaunty) and Ubuntu 64 jaunty and im-switch -s scim-bridge solved it.
