What's the status of this? Why isn't it included yet? I noticed the last
reply on the Debian bug tracker is from 2017.

[Bug 1763091] Re: netbeans fails to start due to java9

2019-01-09 Thread aaronfranke via ubuntu-bugs
NetBeans needs to be updated to version 10. This problem is entirely
caused by Ubuntu having an old version of NetBeans.

[Bug 1766363] [NEW] Many programs need libgranite3, but it is not available in the Ubuntu repos

2018-04-23 Thread aaronfranke via ubuntu-bugs
Public bug reported:

libgranite3 is not an available package, but libgranite2 and libgranite4
are available (libgranite4 only on Bionic Beaver it seems).

Many programs need libgranite3, such as NaSC
https://github.com/parnold-x/nasc/issues/66, Nutty
https://launchpad.net/nutty, Bookworm
https://askubuntu.com/questions/947843/, Needle and Thread
https://github.com/needle-and-thread/vocal/issues/12

https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libgranite2 (Xenial results)

https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libgranite3 (no results)

https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libgranite4 (Bionic result)

Please add libgranite3 to Bionic!

[Bug 1762310] [NEW] Upgrade the Mono version to 5.x

2018-04-08 Thread aaronfranke via ubuntu-bugs
Public bug reported:

It appears that the Mono version included in Bionic Beaver is `4.6.2.7
+dfsg-1ubuntu1`. This is a fairly outdated version considering that Mono
5.0 stable was released about a year ago. Many new Mono programs require
a Mono version that is 5.x. For example, Godot states that they require
Mono 5.4.

Without upgrading the Mono version, users of new Mono applications will have to
manually add a repository to get the latest Mono.
http://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/#download-lin-ubuntu
This is not ideal, we should upgrade the Mono version in the Ubuntu repos.
