[Bug 72744] Re: Wesnoth installs with no campaigns
I had a simmilar idea: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1902111#post1902111 The 3 possible ideas in the post are: 1. Make wesnoth depend on wesnoth-music, wesnoth-editor and the campaigns. However, some people might not want music, campaigns and editors. 2. Make a "wesnoth-all" metapackage which depends on wesnoth and the music, editor and campaigns. However, you would instinctively install the wesnoth package rather than wesnoth-all, unless you knew whay you were doing, so few people would use it. 3. Rename wesnoth to wesnoth-base, and make a metapackage called wesnoth which depends on wesnoth-base and the music, editor and campaigns. No. 3 seems to be the best option. [Bug 62349] GmailFS won't mount
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gmailfs GMailFS won't mount. Whenever i try to mount a GMailFS drive, it says that the filesystem gmailfs doesn't exist. ** Affects: gmailfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- GmailFS won't mount https://launchpad.net/bugs/62349 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1] Re: Microsoft has a majority market share
Apparently (according to most computer manafacturers who I've contacted), there's a law in the UK that all computers have to ship with Windoze... The sensible solution to this would be to have windoze 95 on a 1GB partition on the hard disk, and as soon as the computer starts, linux reformats the windoze partition to swapfs... -- Microsoft has a majority market share https://launchpad.net/bugs/1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1] Re: Microsoft has a majority market share
I think that this bug should have an importance level of its own because it is the cause of most of the rest of the bugs - most people use windoze so hardware manafacturers don't do drivers for linux. Also, there is a much smaller linux community, meaming that bugs don't get found or squashed quickly enough. -- Microsoft has a majority market share https://launchpad.net/bugs/1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 58096] Re: No power down
I'm talking about Dapper, just so you know. -- No power down https://launchpad.net/bugs/58096 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1] Re: Microsoft has a majority market share
I've tagged it as a security risk becuase windoze, by default, has all of it's ports open and, worst of all, you might think your files are password protected, but the aren't encrypted in any way. Just put the HDD in a linux machine and voila - there are you personal files which are supposed to be password protected. Also, any other user can just remove your password in windoze. ** Tags added: security-risk -- Microsoft has a majority market share https://launchpad.net/bugs/1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 58096] No power down
Public bug reported: Whenever I shut down the computer, it says "Sytem Halt" but then doesn't switch off. This happens with 3 computers, all of which have Intel BIOSes. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- No power down https://launchpad.net/bugs/58096 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 58098] /cdrom/ mount point changing.
Public bug reported: Whenever I unplug a cd rom drive and plug it back in again, it gets given a different name, so when it asks me to insert a CD into /cdrom/, I can't because it's name's changed to something different (eg dvdrom). This means that I can't install new packages or use dist-upgrade.
