[Bug 211977] Re: cpufreq ondemand governor causes kernel panics with 2.6.24-12-generic x86_64
Ok, neither setting the scaling governor to performance, nor appending nohz=off to kernel arguments seems to help. Attaching /var/log/messages, maybe it'll give a hint about the cause of these lockups to someone. ** Attachment added: /var/log/messages http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13129001/messages -- cpufreq ondemand governor causes kernel panics with 2.6.24-12-generic x86_64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211977 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 211977] [NEW] cpufreq ondemand governor causes kernel panics with 2.6.24-12-generic x86_64
Public bug reported: With ondemand scaling governor i often experienced kernel panics on my amd64 x2 4200+ Had to put 'echo performance /sys/.../scaling_governor' in rc.local; Can't check with newer kernel now, will be able to do so at about 8am 2008-04-05 CET, maybe. Probably cpufreq has some issues with smp machines.
