[Bug 1932240] [NEW] Catfish File Search has been becoming unresponsive

2021-06-16 Thread ardour
Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using?

Xubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.

2) The version of the package you are using?

Catfish File Search 1.4.13

3) What you expected to happen?

Catfish is suppose to find the filenames that you are looking for based
off the search terms that you provide.

4) What happened instead?

Catfish becomes unresponsive after entering search terms, but sometimes
it works and the files are found, but most of the time it becomes
unresponsive.

I went to Synaptic Package Manager and reinstalled Catfish, it didn't
help, I still becomes unresponsive.

[Bug 1902858] [NEW] 20.04 - Printer Change Driver window becomes unresponsive

2020-11-04 Thread ardour
Public bug reported:

User yetanotherbryan from Ubuntu Forums has reported on this since May
2020, and I've also experience this bug this week when I upgraded to
20.04.

Unable to Change Printer Driver in Ubuntu 20.04
(https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2444046)

I'm trying to get my printer setup on a fresh
install of 20.04. In setttings, when I add my
network printer (Samsung M287X), it is found
and installs a default driver. I am able to print
normally. I trying to swap out the printer driver
("Additional Printer Settings" > "Properties" >
"Make and Model -Change") to install alternative
drivers. This is necessary to enable some features
such as two sided printing. When I click "Change"
it attempts to search for drivers but comes
unresponsive. This is something that I have done
many times on previous versions of ubuntu. Anybody
have an idea of what is happening here?

Thanks,

Bryan

In this image, I'm hovering my mouse over the sound applet no volume
level indicator is popping out, unlike in Lubuntu 16.04.

[Bug 1770429] Re: Ubuntu 18.04 No audio from speakers. Headphones working. Surface Pro 3

2018-07-10 Thread ardour via ubuntu-bugs
TigrisAltaica from Ubuntu Forums has reported a similar issue on a HP
Pavilion Laptop, unfortunately, renaming /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.bk didn't fix the issue.

Here's the report: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2396039

[Bug 1655814] Re: Canon LIDE 110 give i/o error in sane_start with scanimage

2017-01-14 Thread ardour
My Canon CanoScan LiDE 100 has worked out of the box from Xubuntu 12.04
and 14.04, but upon updating to 16.04, it doesn't work, even after
adding ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git to my system.
