I assume that the CPU Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 1007U @ 1.50GHz is the problem. Public bug reported: Setting up ldap authentification on precise is impossible as the library softlink /lib/libnss_ldap.so.2 is missing. I presume that this spftlink should be created ny the package libnss-ldap. I stumbled accross the bug, when I tried to get ldap users via getent passwd which showed only the local users. A 'strace getent passwd' showed the missing libnss_ldap.so.2. [Bug 405120] Re: resume from suspend doesn't work (powers off instead) for Acer Timeline 3810t/3410t
I'm using a Timeline 8571 which has probably the same bug. I noticed two things: * At the resume the hard drive doesn't spin up until the machine reboots. Is suppose this is related to the kernel option libata.noacpi=1 which enables a faster boot up for the laptop. Without this switch the kernel waits about 7 seconds for the harddrive. * I once got a state were suspend and resume was working.
