Try to install the kernel with suspend2 included from trevino repository ;) ! Look here : http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/index.html I'm playing with laptop-mode too, I have install sdparm too... Say me where are you investigating with suspend2 next, the biggest problem is the acpi, after 5minute of resume, on fan turn at his maximum and don't stop, and too gnome-power-manager don't see if I remove AC or I put it...
