An update to system solved the problem. Don't know which package. You
can close it now.

[Bug 1849257] [NEW] Firefox audio not playing via bluetooth

2019-10-22 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

When I am playing videos in Youtube, it plays through my laptop speakers
instead of through the connected bluetooth device. I tried that with my
USB headset but still audio plays out through my laptop speakers. Same
for Prime Video. It works fine in Google chrome i.e. audio is re-routed
through bluetooth speakers.

I tried switching audio devices and still nothing changes.

[Bug 1836440] Re: RTL8723BS wifi not working

2019-07-14 Thread aveem ashfaq
Sorry guys. False alarm. It was something to do with secure boot. I
disabled secure boot and it starts working magically. The problem is
though, even with secure boot on, Fedora works fine. Arch Linux also
works fine.

[Bug 1831107] [NEW] SYNA3602 Touchpad working partially

2019-05-30 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

My touchpad is a HID device and works in Windows 10 properly. It is
detected as SYNA3602:00 in WIndows and it uses Microsoft mouse drivers
(no separate drivers installed).

In Linux, it does not work properly. I can sometimes scroll using two
fingers and sometimes (maybe once every 30 seconds) it works for one
second and then stops working. The same about right click and other
functions. I can't seem to make it work with libinput or synaptics or
evdev driver.

[Bug 1316873] Re: Left mouse button stops working

2016-02-07 Thread aveem ashfaq
started happening to me recently in ubuntu 15.10 as well. I use a
fujitsu laptop lh531 and a logitech mouse. all works fine when i start
the computer and use it for upto one hour or near abouts. but then,
suddenly the left mouse click button starts to malfunction. it sometimes
grabs the button that i have clicked and does not let go. sometimes, it
refuses to click at all. i tried using the touchpad button (btw, my
touchpad is detected as a mouse) but even the touchpad left click button
does not work. as soon as i unplug the mouse, everything is fine and the
touchpad works properly. plug the mouse again and the same problem. when
i restart the laptop, the mouse is fine and everything is back to normal
for another one hour or so.

[Bug 1492917] [NEW] white on white background for right click menu

2015-09-07 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

*I suppose it is a bug with the oxygen theme and libreoffice
application* . when i right click in libreoffice writer anywhere and the
right click menu comes up, i try to use the arrow keys for navigation
within the menu. but the item is not highlighted. in the menus, the
highlighting bit is done with white instead of the usual blue. so there
is a white highlight on the white right click menu.

[Bug 1491476] [NEW] kde lock screen timeout too long

2015-09-02 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

I am using stock Kubuntu 15.04. I am new to KDE and have migrated from
gnome and unity. Whenever i lock my screen in KDE, it takes about 10
minutes for the screen to blank out and display to go into powersaving
mode. in gnome and other gnome based distros, when i lock the screen, it
stays on for 3 seconds and fades out to put my monitor into standby
whereas in kde, the lockscreen shows up for a very long time. Why is
that? No one has any job staring at the lock screen. I wish the screen
timeout was 3 seconds or some reasonable time during the lockscreen

processor and it always runs at 25% even at idle. when i type in top
in terminal, it shows baloo_file to be taking 25% of my CPU usage. i
tried putting the laptop idle for 5 hours for it to sort out itself but
nothing happened. i tried restarting it a million times and still it is
there. i always have to kill the process for things to get back to
normal. so, i did a sudo apt-get remove baloo* and now the problem is
solved. i just shared it so that any information might help. in the
meanwhile, please figure the problem out

[Bug 1446181] [NEW] not opening at all

2015-04-20 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

I am using Kubuntu daily build of 19th April and installed it and setup
proxy in apt. So, when I do an apt-get update, it works. Everything is
fine. But when I open Muon Software center, it does not work for me. I
click to open it, it does not open. The window border opens and inside
that, the content of the screen below is shown. Even after waiting for
so long, nothing happens. When I click to close it, the terminate
application option shows up. I am using completely stock Kubuntu. I
checked with fresh install, I checked after a dist-upgrade but it still
does not work

[Bug 1395321] [NEW] Adding ppa not working under proxy

2014-11-22 Thread aveem ashfaq
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 13.10, PPA's could be added under proxy. But after that, i.e
in 14.04, error comes like this

Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:ppa name'.
Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.

apt works fine under proxy. But, repositories are not added. I have to
use a non-proxified network to add repositories.
