[Bug 387064] [NEW] Fast User Switch always starts as Offline with Pidgin
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet I'm not sure if this is a problem with Pidgin or with the fast user switch applet, but it always displays as offline when you start up pidgin, and will stay that way unless status is changed. Everything else works fine, and this is only an issue when Pidgin is first changed. EDIT: Note - I think this is only in Karmic. I'm not sure why, but none of my bugs like showing up in the karmic branch... [Bug 386751] [NEW] Update for nVidia 173 Drivers
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-173 nVidia recently updated their 173 driver series to (I believe) support the new kernel. [Bug 302696] [NEW] Session should not be restored
Public bug reported: I am not completely positive about this, but the first few times I shut down my computer, I may have left the checkbox checked that says Save Session for Future Logins Now, I have left this unchecked for a while, but it restores my session each time. I get an error each time because synaptic doesn't have root privileges. Should xfce be keeping the session since I have clearly left the box unchecked for a while? Is it not deleting the session when it should? If it is supposed to be keeping the session, how can I delete it? There is no clear way. [Bug 219867] Re: Fsck Check Doesn't Remove All Text After Finished
Well, I don't know what it's in, but I'd think it was e2fsprogs... I guess not. This is in initscripts. I would assume it effects the following files: /lib/init/usplash-fsck-functions.sh, and /etc/init.d/checkfs.sh. I don't know if I missed any relevant files. [Bug 219867] [NEW] Fsck Check Doesn't Remove All Text After FInished
Public bug reported: When I start up and Fsck runs (Thank goodness not very often...) it used to display the text in the terminal when it ran, exiting out of usplash. It's good that finally got fixed, but now, when Fsck ends, it leaves the Checking Drive Press Esc to Cancel (or whatever it says on the left side). I know this really isn't important, but I figured that you wouldn't want to leave this there. It is kinda ugly, having that show up throughout the whole boot. ** Affects: e2fsprogs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Fsck Check Doesn't Remove All Text After FInished https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 219872] [NEW] USB hd-media install Doesn't Find Right iso
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer On Hardy hd-media install, I have been having problems with it finding the wrong iso... it scans my primary Hard Drive, then the USB drives... There should be an option to either: 1.) Select the iso From a List showing the release, version, and location/which drive it's on. This would be my preferred method. 2.) Search the drive that the kernel is on FIRST, so it finds the iso you want it to. This would also work fine with me. This will help users without a cd drive, or having issues with their drive be able to install it. [Bug 214178] [NEW] USB mounts in a new folder if left plugged in on shutdown
Public bug reported: This is an annoying bug for me. I constantly forget to unplug my USB deive when I shut down the computer, and whenever I do this it creates a new folder inside media the next time I boot up. For example, I plug my external USB drive in and it mounts at /media/disk. I then shut off the computer and realize that I left my USB drive plugged in (Oh, crap). So, when boot up next time, I end up with a folder /media/disk (Which is 'unreadable' according to the properties in nautilus) and a folder /media/disk_ where it is actually mounted. What I have to do each time I forget: Unmount the USB drive and manually delete the folder it was previously mounted in (In the command line... WITH sudo!) before mounting it again. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- USB mounts in a new folder if left plugged in on shutdown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
