[Bug 1923489] [NEW] Save setting of Landscape/'Draw only polygon' and its line thickness does not work.

2021-04-12 Thread Hilli Billi
Public bug reported:

Stellarium 0.21.0
Windows 10, 64bit

Save setting of Landscape/'Draw only polygon' and its line thickness does not
work.
In detail:
Sky and viewing options window [F4]:
Landscape / Options / Draw only polygon
and
Landscape / Options / Thickness of line in pixels
are not saved with
Configuration window [F2]: Configuration
Main / save settings

'Draw only polygon' is always reset.
'Thickness of line in pixels' is always reset to 1.

Reproduce:
F4 / Landscape
Select 'Geneva' (or your own Landscape with only a polygonal)
Set 'Use this landscape as default' (if not already set)
Set 'Show ground'
Set 'Draw only polygon'
Set 'Thickness of line in pixels' to value 5
=> Result is a thick brown 'horizon' line
F2 / Main / save settings
Close Stellarium
Open Stellarium
=> Result is thin brown 'horizon' line and the ground in a 'cyan' color
(as specified in landscape.ini for ground_color = .15,.45,.45)
 Expected: thick (5 pixel) brown 'horizon' line only
=> In F4 / Landscape the option 'Draw only polygon' is unchecked and
'thickness of line in pixels' is set to value 1.
 Expected: 'Draw only polygon' is checked and
   'thickness of line in pixels' is 5

Another minor issue:
If 'Minimal brightness' is used:
'from landscape, if given' (Use minimal brightness as may be specified in
landscape.ini) seems not to work.

[Bug 838884] [NEW] No 'save' option in the menu

2011-09-01 Thread billi
Public bug reported:

Evince now allows to edit PDF files, for example, to add annotations.
Now we NEED a metu option to save the result. Currently (v. 3.1.2) there is
only 'Save As' option which is really PITA to use.
For some strange reason it opens the home directory and then you have to search
for the correct one. This is really really bad as I often do not known where
the file is located (yes, I can find that, but WHY?).

Please add a normal 'Save' menu.

Thank you.

[Bug 588203] Re: [FFe] Please merge emacs23 23.2+1-4 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2010-10-27 Thread billi
Here they are.

The difference is less pronounced in the images (because of blurring?)
but for me the new (23.2) version was unusable when I tried to edit some
text file.

Note how the world number is rendered in the new version the letter u
and m are too close to each other. It does not seem to be the same font
at all. Do I need a new command?

The current version in the PPA (as of 26/10/10) works but something went

bad.

[Bug 540771] [NEW] sinl (and probably other functions) is not computed correctly

2010-03-18 Thread billi
Public bug reported:

sinl fails to return a correct result for large arguments.

Consider the following file:
$ cat sintest.c
#include stdio.h
#include math.h

int
main (void) {
  double arg = 1e22;
  long double larg = 1e22L;

  printf(double precision: sin(1e22) = %.16lf\n, sin(arg));
  printf(quad precison: sin(1e22)=%.16Lf\n, sinl(larg));

  return 0;
}

when compiled by gcc
$ gcc sintest.c  -lm

it produces wrong results
$ ./a.out
double precision: sin(1e22) = -0.8522008497671888
quad precison: sin(1e22)=0.4626130407646018

This problem is probably due to the use of 'fsin' function which does
not support such a big number. However, from the description of 'sinl'
one would expect full support for long double arguments.

P.S.
The same code compiled by the Intel C compiler produces good results.

I think you do not need my crash report.

Just try to open the attached PDF file.

On Fri, Mar 12, 2010 at 8:05 PM, Pedro Villavicencio pe...@ubuntu.comwrote:

 Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
 Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
 challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
 instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
 be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

 If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
 apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

 If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
 nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the
 crash report you wish to submit.
 If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
 /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash
 in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to
 report.

 I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
 automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
 efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

For example, check www.moin.gov.il (which is the Israeli ministry of interior
affairs). For some reason the content of the webpage is shown in a small
rectangle instead the full page. The bug is probably not related to Ubuntu,
since I observe the same behavior of FF installed on Windows machines. However,
once confirmed, I assume that FF developers will pay more attention to a bug
reported by Ubuntu team rather than one reported by a single user.

P.S.
Both Opera and Google Chrome (linux versions) have no problem with this page.

Thank you.

[Bug 468312] [NEW] broken menus

2009-11-01 Thread billi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: emacs23

It seems that the menus are broken in the GTK version.
One bug was reported about (sub)menus being empty or not updated.

Here, I would like to draw your attention to wrong behavior of Buffers menu.
Just open several files and try to switch by using the menu. The first switch
will work, however, the following ones are not doing what you want. They will
switch to wrong buffer. It seems there is a one-click delay in the switching.

I assume this problem is not related to Ubuntu or Debian. The vanilla
version from gnu.org has the same problems. Which, by the way, seem to
be fixed in the current CVS version (and emacs-snapshot as well).

Thank you.

THANK YOU!!! Mahesh Asolkar's post worked perfectly!! I now have a
Splash screen! BTW in my case...I had installed opensuse kde 4.2 beta on
a separate partition and lost the grub boatloader...after using the
ubuntu live cd to install configure and install grub back to the way it
was..i found myself booting into ubuntu but without this segfault error
and no splash screen thereafter...similar to others above shutdown
splash screen worked perfectly!
