Re: [Bug 1879282] Re: Workspace shows windows that is not on the current workspace

Hi,

I disabled all extensions and cannot reproduce the bug, since it is an
extension that enables the drop down and see windows alternative. Ill
contact the person behind the extension.

[Bug 1879282] [NEW] Workspace shows windows that is not on the current workspace

2020-05-18 Thread Bim Gustavsson
Public bug reported:

If I have two workspaces and have for example firefox on both
workspaces, then the second workspace will show the firefox windows that
is on the first workspace. I can not controll this window, its just a
piece of the background. I get this problem 100% of the time. The way I
get it is by being on my second workspace, howering my pointer over the
firefox on my topbar, go through the windows of the windows open for
firefox, which makes my screen jump to the first window when i hower
over the firefox window that is open on the first workspace, to indicate
where it is located. Then when i click on the firefox window that is on
the second workspace, the window from the first workspace is "stuck" as
a wallpaper.

[Bug 602945] Re: apt-cdrom fails due to inconsistent choice of mount points

[Bug 638093] Re: Ubuntu 10.10 deleted other partitions without asking

2010-11-21 Thread bim
I installed Ubuntu 10.10 over 10.04. During the installation, 10.10
accessed my 500 GB external USB drive with 3 partitions on it, The
drive was formatted! These were backup files and I am very worried by
this action.

[Bug 638093] Re: Ubuntu 10.10 deleted other partitions without asking

2010-11-21 Thread bim
Further info on status.
The external USB drive was formatted as Fat32 as /dev/sdc1 and now has an msdos
partition table. (This is in lieu of the three partitions it used to have. -
one Windows XP and two Linux)
An installation of Windows XP on /dev/sda1 was unaffected by the upgrade to
10.10. It appears undamaged, Also undamaged are three other data partitions
on sda5 (/home), sda6, sda7.

[Bug 320977] Re: Installation: Prepare disk space w/ 4 disks = missing Quit, Back, and Forward buttons

2009-10-29 Thread bim

When moving to Prepare Disk Space, and 9.04 remix finds This computer has
Ubuntu 9.04 on it
why is there no option to replace the existing 9.04 (which has become
corrupted) with a new one
in the same location?

Also, How is that little white slider supposed to work? It is in sda3, and
will not move to sda4.
When I select that option, (or anything other than having two Ubuntus), such as
to specify manually,
the white slider disappears!

The pdf files generated by Dr. Tax have margin defined. SInce the

not for the printer?

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

Package version: 0.7~~svn20080818t061112-0ubuntu1~nm1~hardy1
uname -a: Linux jim-d620 2.6.24-19-generic #1

I am testing the SVN version of network-manager
0.7. I am attempting to connect to my employer's

connection fails, displaying a pop-up message
that says: The VPN connection 'Connection Name'
failed because the VPN service stopped unexpectedly.

[Bug 259168] Re: Network Manager unable to connect to PPTP VPN

2008-11-11 Thread bim
I wonder if there is a way someone could be asked to give us beginners
some step-by-step instructions how to get the network manager from Hardy
and install it in Intrepid.

[Bug 240208] Re: e-mail send error appears everytime a send/receive is done

2008-10-27 Thread bim
I am also getting this.
I suspect it has something to do with trying to send using imap to a pop server.
Now that we have corrected the destination to be pop, the imap attempt is stuck
in the outbox. (?maybe)

[Bug 179288] Re: evolution is reporting a mail that cannot be sended, but i do not see the mail itself in the outbox and can not borrow it.

2008-10-27 Thread bim
This may be a residue of the first message I tried to send.
Outbox shows there is a message waiting to go. But I cannot display it, and
cannot flush it.
When I do a send/receive I get an error trying to send this thing.

So every send ends in error with outbox reporting 1 message still to go.
Error while performing operation
It never goes.
