One observation is if i keep up/down arrow key pressed while booting the system. Public bug reported: i have upgraded to natty, after that no graphics login screen appears. Still able to use the text terminal using alt-ctrl-F1. If lightdm killed and started again, no graphics login screen. After multiple reboots sometime graphics login screen appears and able to login and use the graphics.
