[Bug 62386] Re: Grub install fails on intel macs.

2007-01-03 Thread blahyugi
Just fyi. Two months ago I took my intel based Mac Mini, converted the
hdd to MBR mode and put in Edgy installation CD. All I had to do was to
click forward, everything worked. Including the grub installation (to
mbr) and booting up. The installation was flawless all the way.

The answer is as far as I understand no. Edgy installs fine using
bootcamp+refit.

[Bug 77017] The Finnish Population Register Centre's CA Certificates are not installed by default in current www-browsers.

2006-12-23 Thread blahyugi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ca-certificates

Could you please add the Finnish Population Register Centre's CA
certificates to ca-certificates? The certificates are used with official
national digital ID cards and on the official web based services.
(Police, pension agency, signing email, next year perhaps voting, etc)

You can get the root certificates from

I can confirm this too, and add that if your terminal server gives you
only 256 colors the behaviour does not occur.

It is afaik supposed to work like that the toolbars and icons are only on
the first desktop.

The second thing and third thing sound like bugs to me. I have not had such
experiences.

[Bug 76152] Re: extra VGA output on laptop

2006-12-18 Thread blahyugi
I have had similar experiences on my Asus F3F and gma950. The image
displayed on external display is definitely messed up. The only fix I
found was an explicit Xinerama configuration that enables both. I'll
attach a sample for you. The bad side on that solution is that the vga
output gets never disabled and you will have to restart X to get rid of
it.

I'd call the problem a X.org bug. Some automatic setting perhaps fails.
