[Bug 1968845] Re: Upgrade to 22.04 from 20.04 ends with dbus installation asking for a reboot
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1969162 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969162 @Brian Murray: Yes, today i ran into this issue on 2 servers. The install stalled after "A reboot is required to replace the running dbus-daemon.", and then the installer resumed after 10 minutes. The first server i upgraded I've been caught by the misleading "Please reboot the system when convenient." and just rebooted after a few minutes because the installer was doing nothing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1968845 Title: Upgrade to 22.04 from 20.04 ends with dbus installation asking for a reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dbus/+bug/1968845/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1752716] [NEW] Weird ascii characters lines all over grub menu
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Mate 17.10.1 Artful AMD64 Grub2 2.02~beta3-4ubunut7.2 AMD64 I'm using the 2.02~beta3-4ubuntu7 default version that came from ubuntu artful/universe amd64 packages I upgraded to version 2.02~beta3-4ubuntu7.2 from the ubuntu artful- updates/universe amd64 packages, which triggers flashing ascii characters lines across the grub menu. I had to reinstall Ubuntu Mate 17.10.1 and put everything related to grub2 (grub-pc / grub-cp-bin / grub-pc-common / grub2-common ) on hold before doing the post-install repository update. ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1752716 Title: Weird ascii characters lines all over grub menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1752716/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

** Description changed: - I'm getting a black screen when X tries to start (well, I guess that's when X tries to start. It's happening just after the purple screen with 5 dots and ubuntu text). + I'm getting a black screen when X tries to start. This first happened on reboot after I upgraded my 8.04 LTS to the latest RC on a Dell Inspiron 510m. I thought it was due to a bad upgrade. So I decided to do a fresh install with an usb stick created with usb-creator from the RC iso. Same problem : blank screen after the purple screen. I'm adding the output of lspci and dmesg if this can help for debugging. BTW, I tried to boot using the recovery mode, and this message displayed several times just before the recovery menu displays : "mountall: Plymouth command failed". ** Attachment added: "lspci -vvnn and dmesg outputs" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/45302268/lspci_dmesg.txt ** Description changed: I'm getting a black screen when X tries to start (well, I guess that's when X tries to start. It's happening just after the purple screen with 5 dots and ubuntu text). - This first happened on reboot after I upgraded my 8.04 LTS to the latest RC. + This first happened on reboot after I upgraded my 8.04 LTS to the latest RC on a Dell Inspiron 510m. I thought it was due to a bad upgrade. So I decided to do a fresh install with an usb stick created with usb-creator from the RC iso. Same problem : blank screen after the purple screen. I'm adding the output of lspci and dmesg if this can help for debugging. BTW, I tried to boot using the recovery mode, and this message displayed several times just before the recovery menu displays : "mountall: Plymouth command failed" ** Description changed: I'm getting a black screen when X tries to start (well, I guess that's when X tries to start. [Bug 488098] Re: unhandled exception when browsing www.googlubuntu.com
i must apologize because i found out this is not a bug, this "behaviour" can be reproduced on a windows box + IE. The message was quite misleading and while it looked like a bug, jumped like a bug, it was just a server side error message. [Bug 380377] [NEW] compiz-setting-manager key binding revert to QWERTY
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 9.04 2.6.28-11-generic compizconfig-settings-manager: Installé : 0.8.2-0ubuntu1 Candidat : 0.8.2-0ubuntu1 Table de version : *** 0.8.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status i've been using compiz-setting-manager and specifically "command" to assign bindings to personnal commands. So far i have succesfully created several bindings using the ctrl+alt modifier together with a letter ( ie "ctrl+alt+a" launch gnome-terminal, "ctrl+alt+w" launch nautilus in a predefined folder) Weird enough, my original french layout (AZERTY) is not retained and i have to do the QWERTY equivalent keystroke to have those shortcuts working properly, respectively "ctrl+alt+q to" launch gnome-terminal, and "ctrl+alt+z" to launch nautilus in a predefined folder So far i have not found a workaround, i've been forced to use a trick when creating my key bindings as if i was using a qwerty keyboard, and then doing the normal azerty keystroke to obtain the desired effect. anyone else noticed that behaviour ? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- compiz-setting-manager key binding revert to QWERTY https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380377 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
