[Bug 1176355] Re: Can't access USB external disk

2013-12-10 Thread brazz
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1161985 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161985

Hello,
I think I have this problem:
I have a USB disk enclosure that worked fine until there is very little time
(there are a couple of weeks, I transferred 300GB of data ...)
Since there were various progreammes especially kernel upgrade in any case I am
unable to access the disk (see below excerpt from dmesg and output of fdisk-l)
In fact the unit is for the disk that is attached is identified, but that does
not go away, it does not recognize the partition table, I checked with fdisk
(see below)
I'm pretty worried, indeed had my backup market, I checked. It would be weird
that right after the drive fails, I would go rather for a driver problem, in
fact I had this problem early and after a 13.0 dowgrade to an old version of
usisks2 it worked, unfortunately I had not blocked my amendment and subsequent
upgrades have invalidated all!

[Bug 1242854] Re: udisks2 prevents external hard drive from working

2013-12-05 Thread brazz
I have almost the same problem, with the difference with a downgrade in
udisks2 2.1.0-2 I managed to run but a new update that was proposed a
few days there has canceled all and now the downgrade not give any
result. I can not use my external enclosure, I just know that I have
over 500 GB! It just may be ums_cypress.ko but I did not go further.

[Bug 655124] Re: Network-manager-openvpn connects but can not be used

2010-10-08 Thread brazz
I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 and got accepted this morning an update, and now I have the
same problem as everyone: Unable to connect to the VPN!
Moreover, this one works very well because my other post ubuntu, which has not
been updated to work perfectly.
Of course, I tested the option in the Route button IPv4, but that's exactly the
same.

[Bug 529020] [NEW] unable to connect with screensaver activated

2010-02-27 Thread brazz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

Well, I meet very frequently with Lucid Lynx installed under Virtual
Box, the following problem: everything works perfectly but if I leave
the window to do something else for a while, return the screensaver
wonder heard the password to access the session, but then the keyboard
is not taken into account (the mouse cons, yes) yet the only thing is to
disable the security saver of screen. This is not cool ... I do further
testing with other versions to see if this is not VB ...

On my machine I've installed apache, I do not want it, I lighttpd much lighter
and faster. If I install the deb dokuwiki clearly it is preconfigured for
Apache and so I have only to go fishing around to change things! Indeed it is
the same for the package php5-if you do not pay attention automatically
installs apache-Would it be possible to change these packages such as the
installation of a wiki is not linked to the web server, or the installation of
php is not linked to the same server. Currently it has forced the hand as
Microsoft chief!
I consider it a design bug.

[Bug 351214] [NEW] After migration from Intrepid to Jaunty, I have not command line and in Synaptics I obtain a " failure of cloning pty" message

2009-03-29 Thread brazz
Public bug reported:

Here is my problem: I made a migration to jaunty beta from Intrepid, with an
.ISO image. Now everything works much however I have a very serious problem: it
is impossible to have the command line! if I start gnome-terminal I receive an
error like "!" There was an error during the creation of the son process for
this terminal! Anyway, all terminal programs give me the same thing: a window
without prompt!
I can't installl or reinstall gnome-terminal, because now, in Synaptic I obtain
a "failure of cloning pty" message and of course nothing is done.
So, I changed my console with and I installed using dpkg-i the
two gnome-terminal packages from http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/gnome/ .
After I run sudo apt-get -f install, and then sudo apt-get update ... And I
return on my gnome desktop but I have always the same. And,
Synaptic is too bugged...
Without information I did not know what to do. it'sa shame because it could be
very simple ...
So,finally I run an installation and not a migration with a CD (and
safeguarding /home before) :( and now all is fine!

[Bug 151550] lost configuration of grub-gfx

2007-10-11 Thread brazz
Public bug reported:

Well, after I upgrade to Gutsy all work fine.
Then I install grub-gfx because it looks like better.. all work fine.
But, after I run the update manager I have lost grub-gfx config and at boot
time, I have now an old (and horrible) test menu.
The menu.lst is modified and I have lost the grub-gfx menu.
