[Bug 444950] Re: sound stops working with pulseaudio
This bug also hit me on Kubuntu Lucid 64bit pretty hard, like ever since release kinda hard. I have dealt with it in the past by sudo apt-get remove --purge pulseaudio, but I would really like to fix this. I reinstalled pulse and double checked the setup with Phonon and all should be working well, but no. [Bug 373979] Re: nfsv4 on Jaunty client causes nfs servers to spew time out errors
Update to this. I installed Archlinux GNOME and the issue went bye bye. This, along with a few other tests I ran leads me to strongly suspect Knetworkmanager as being the culprit. [Bug 373979] Re: nfsv4 on Jaunty client causes nfs servers to spew time out errors
Here is the thread that speaks to this exact issue. http://news.gmane.org/gmane.linux.nfsv4 In short, the guys say that its a harmless string, but as you can see from my server logs, this is troublesome because of the overabundance of the strings and how large my /var is filling up. Anyway, I have googled up on this nfs issue quite a lot and from what I have noticed, upstream seems to not really take too much stock in this issue as it seems to be some type of harmless call back issue that is harmless as far as the protocol goes. Above my head though so I am really clueless as to this, but considering this issue never cropped up with Fedora10 when I had that loaded on this same client, nor with Hardy, same machine, one would have to assume that whatever was done with the Jaunty kernel is causing this problem. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nfs-kernel-server Since installing Kubuntu Jaunty (fresh install, remapped /home) I now have been getting constant client time out errors on my 32 bit Hardy nfs server. I have run into this bug as well. My server is running 8.04.3, uname -r, 2.6.24-24-generic, on an i686 kernel. I have one client that is also running the same kernel and causes no issues. The other client which does cause this bug is running Kubuntu, kernel 9.04 2.6.28-11-generic. Only the Kubuntu Jaunty kernel causes the NFS server to bug out with a steady stream of: "nfs4_cb: server (client machine IP addr) not responding, timed out", every 60 seconds until the server locks up hard. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem DVD's stop playback regardless of media player used at ~60% through the movies. When using Totem it pops an error message about libdvdcss, which of course is working just fine on my machine. This issue just started happening to me after the last kernel update. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- DVD playback stops at 60% https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191974 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 173890] Re: flashplugin-nonfree fails to install... new version?
The build works and the package installs on 64 bit Gutsy, but only works on the youtube website. It does not seem to work on any other flash intensive websites such as disney.com, nick.com, etc. -- flashplugin-nonfree fails to install... new version? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 134446] Re: Compiz causing Hard Locks on certain systems
Same here. Random temporary freezes and just 1 hard lock yesturday. Seems to be a pretty common theme now. Im on an AMD turion x2, nvidia 6150 integrated card. Only happens with compiz on. Strangely, my system just froze for 3 seconds while typing this so I grabbed the /var/log/messages tail and here it is.. [Bug 139990] Re: gutsy: Xorg with two screens crashes
I also can confirm this with an NVIDIA 6150 integrated chipset when trying to setup dual screens (default=1280x800, and 1280x1024 external monitor) when using the Gutsy screens and graphics tool with restricted driver enabled. After X is restarted, both screens dump to highest resolution specified, 1280x1024. I have only gotten dual screens to work once by putting the second monitor to "to the bottom" setting. This has also generated crash reports via apport on multiple occaisions, which I did upload. -- gutsy: Xorg with two screens crashes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
