I'm sorry, I reinstalled ubuntu 12.04 as it was not only vlc player that bugged, but also all other video apps(SM player, Totem) that played quirky. sound was ok but video was quirky. Also pc was very unresponsive. This happened before when I was trying the beta version of 12.10, I hoped bugs were fixed. I'm using a Athlon II X2 64 system. With 12.04 reinstalled everyting works fine again. I've reported bugs earlier. [Bug 798294] [NEW] kan pakketinformatie niet initialiseren
Public bug reported: ik wil updaten maar krijg een foutmelding : 'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/nl.archive.ubuntu .com_ubuntu_dists_natty_main_binary-amd64_Packages, E:De pakketlijsten of het statusbestand konden of niet ontleed, of niet geopend worden.' met het verzoek deze te rapporteren. Ik weet niet hoe ik dat moet aanpakken.
