[Bug 1229172] [NEW] Thunderbird Spell check as you type stopped working after update to 1:24.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 (precise-updates)
Public bug reported: After installing the 1:24.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 (precise-updates) update to Mozilla Thunderbird on 12.04, the Spell check as you type feature no longer works. Downgrading to 11.0.1+build1-0ubuntu2 (precise) restores the functionality. Steps to reproduce: * Open a new message. * Verify Options-Spell Check As You Type is selected * Type something like check my spleling please in the body of the message Expected Result: * spleling should be underlined in red and when right-clicked offer correction options Actual Result: * No words are underlined to indicate mispellings were found. Right-clicking on spleling shows the standard context menu. Toggling the spell check as you type option has no effect. Click the Spelling button, however, does lauch the spell checker and identify the mispelled word. Downgrading to 11.0.1+build1-0ubuntu2 (precise) restores the check as you type functionality. ~$ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS Release:12.04 ** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1229172 Title: Thunderbird Spell check as you type stopped working after update to 1:24.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 (precise-updates) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1229172/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This is also happening on my machine, the segmentation fault prevents kile from updating ~/.kde/share/config/kilerc ; so the project settings, preferences, etc. are not remembered. [Bug 858338] Re: gedit should 'find next' when I press enter in find
Quick update from upstream to confirm that this is a change in behavior from previous versions as the reporter states in that within previous versions, Ctrl+F would open the Find (and Replace) dialog while now Ctrl+F opens the quick search input area. The two behave differently when the enter key is pressed. Previously, quick search was Ctrl+K. The Find and Replace dialog is now by default, Ctrl+H. So, the previous behavior can be restored by changing the keyboard shortcuts so that Ctrl+F opens the Find and Replace dialog. Pressing enter multiple times in this dialog cycles through matches in the document. To change the keyboard shortcut, users may either: (1) Download and install the plugin at https://github.com/nacho/gedit-accel-editor enable it via Edit-Preferences-Plugins-Edit Shortcuts and then change (and view) shortcuts via the Tools-Edit Shortcuts menu. (2) Enable the can-change-accels key in org.gnome.desktop.interface with dconf-editor. Then with Search-Replace highlighted in the menu, press Ctrl+F to make this the new shortcut. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858338 Title: gedit should 'find next' when I press enter in find To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gedit/+bug/858338/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 737972] Re: drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung

[Bug 778083] Re: Switching workspaces does not always redraw everything necessary
This bug affects my installation of Natty as well when running in the No-effects version session. It happens with many programs, not just gnome-terminal. Enabling composting in metacity or using compiz fixes the issue, but adds visual candy that I dislike and seems to also cause occasional GPU hangs (already filed in another bug report). [Bug 772817] Re: Unity doesn't hide when numlock is on
I can reproduce this behaviour consistently. For me it is occurring with any new program launch(gedit, Thunderbird, Firefox), and I am not running any of the previously listed programs (Chrome, K4B, Evolution). The unity launcher does not stick when simply selecting an already open program. Closing a running program while numlock is active also causes the launcher to show and stick. Even more interesting is that if Nautilus is active and in focus, pressing turning on num lock shows the unity launcher even without putting my mouse anywhere near it.
