Hi,

It was a change in the ast module in python3, the string from gsettings
needs to be converted to string.

The attachment patch should fix the extension /usr/share/caja-
python/extensions/dejadup.py

How to patch for testing:
sudo su -
patch /usr/share/caja-python/extensions/dejadup.py < dejadup.patch

Please, could you test it? It's critical to check if the directory in
dejavu is the right directory you selected.

[Bug 1873918] Re: Fresh install hasn't site-packages directory and this returns a dump

2020-04-29 Thread costales
Hi,

Test case:

1. Install Gufw. Open a Terminal and run these commands:

2. $ gufw

3. Bug: After enter your sudo password, you will see this dump and then Gufw
will appears:
costales@ubuntu:~$ gufw
ls: cannot access '/usr/lib/python*/site-packages/gufw/gufw.py': No such
file or directory

Under some configurations a UI pop-up is showed, because APPArmor report
bug.

4. Install new Gufw version:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/gufw_20.04.1-1ubuntu1_all.deb

5. $ gufw

6. Fixed: Enter your sudo password and then Gufw will appears. When you close
it, there will not be dumps:
costales@ubuntu:~$ gufw

[Bug 1713254] Re: MATE icon theme is missing color folders

2017-09-04 Thread costales
@Brice:

Custom color: About custom color, it's OK not to include it :)

Global color: Yes, there isn't more global color in the last version (so
clean code now for future maintenance), then we doesn't need the extra
icons anymore.

Pack compatible: Yes, folder color was uploaded to the Ubuntu
repository, then, the rename is better for that version :)
https://packages.ubuntu.com/artful/folder-color

Path icons: Yes, that will be in the @Martin work :)

A hug and thanks for the review and work!! :D

I'm attaching the icons again.

Please, could you review everything is OK after my rename?

2017-08-26 Thread costales
I didn't like politykit in the past, so so so complicate to debug. I
migrated Gufw looking into the Gparted code.

I don't understand the issue, gnome shell - wayland. Gnome shell is the UI
and Wayland is the graphic engine (?). Gnome shell is running over wayland,
then Gufw or GParted should not work (?).

Anyway it is a so big change in the code and I don't time for it now :(

But if the package is now, please could you review folder-color-nemo?
If it works, then, go ahead, and upload to the Ubuntu repository :)

Re: [Bug 1375215] Re: System runs out of memory - white screens frequently seen in web renderers

2016-05-24 Thread costales
Hi Olivier :)

I found a behavior: Open uNav and put in background. Open it after
8hours and uNav will have a white screen (because it hasn't that
webview anymore, I don't know why).

I saw some apps, like Telegram, are reloaded when they come from
background, but it is not a new fresh start. Appears the application
reloads to itself (?).

In uNav there is nothing for reload the webview. Am I missing an app
cycle life?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Olivier :)

uNav is doing a lot of calculations by second when you're driving.
Then the CPU usage is so high.

> IIRC I once suggested you to monitor the 'webProcessStatus' property of
> the webview, and offer some user feedback when it’s killed or crashed.

We have this log from users and experimented by myself:

file:///opt/click.ubuntu.com/navigator.costales/0.59/qml/Main.qml:103:
TypeError: Type error
ubuntumirclient: Attempted to deliver an event to a non-existent
window, ignoring.

This is because the webview was killed and uNav doesn't find it.

Regenerate the webview could be a solution, but it would lost a current
route.

[Bug 1532296] Re: Support new panels for mouse/trackpad and keyboard

2016-04-02 Thread costales
Hi :)

In Spanish I can't write accents: Fn+O+vocal in this keyboard:
http://goo.gl/dWEN25

Can I map keys (from shell) in the Ubuntu Phone? I think with so
different keyboards in the market it should be so useful.

Thanks in advance!

[Bug 1562783] Re: [OTA9.1][bq E5][uNa 0.56] uNav freezes in location or shows blank screen

2016-03-29 Thread costales
This happened to me for first time.

Yesterday: - AGPS enabled.
- Drive 2 times, 36 km each time. No problems.

Night: - Fly mode.

Today: - Exit Fly mode and 3G (not wifi enabled).
- Start navigation with uNav.
- GPS has so bad accuracy.
- GPS has a good accuracy, uNav starts navigation.
- After 2 minutes, uNav stops. uNav isn't freeze, it's not getting new GPS
positions.
- I cancel the current route and start again: Message from uNav: GPS is denied.
- I close uNav and start Sensor Status in GPS tab. No positions during 15
minutes.
- I start uNav again, GPS Denied message is displayed. But every settings are
the same as in the start.
- I start OpenStreetMap (Alan's app): Javascript Alert, Geolocation error:
Permission denied.

Everything is fine in the uNav log in the moment that it didn't receive
new positions: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/15549591/

Thanks in advance!

** Also affects: location-service (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Changed in: unav
   Status: New => Invalid

** Summary changed:

- [OTA9.1][bq E5][uNa 0.56] uNav freezes in location or shows blank screen
+ GPS stops without reason

Re: [Bug 1561627] After days of uptime, apps do not receive positionupdates.

2016-03-24 Thread costales
The battery is perfect (98% and 45% of average).

The phone is coming from a fly mode in the night.

There is not a number of days. Something is affecting it (maybe network?)
and when you open an application, it didn't get a position.

The first time this happened was in March of the 2015 with HERE, it didn't
get a position and it needed a phone reboot.

I haven't a behavior for reproduce, I am sorry. I will try to use the tool
you mentioned and if it is happening again to me, I'll not restart for
analize it :)

Re: [Bug 1561627] Ubuntu Phone: GPS is not returning positions toapps

2016-03-24 Thread costales
I could tell you that this is happening in every device and image and from
ever. I found this bug 8 months ago and it persists.

It is happening in my:
- bq in stable and rc-proposed.
- mx4 in stable.
- nexus 4 in rc-proposed.

It is so random behavior, the app will not get ever a pos. Probably a GPS
app like HERE or uNav will show the issue more easy, because it will never
get a first position. It is like the GPS was locked.

I never used that tool. I hope someone could report a dump of this. If I
can, I'll do too :)

[Bug 1561627] [NEW] Ubuntu Phone: GPS is not returning positions to apps

2016-03-24 Thread costales
Public bug reported:

So complicate to reproduce, but this bug exists.
If you don't reboot the phone in days, the first time you try a GPS app, it
will not get any GPS position from the device. The unique way will be reboot
the phone, then, the GPS will return positions again.
Thanks in advance!

Doing tests this persists.
The position is the same and so older. could ve possible discard positions by
age from the device?
This bug is so clear in a highway.

I think in the beginning (when the phone was released) the label text was
"Install" & "Install" :)
Then, please, close this bug. Thanks for the feedback |o/

[Bug 1421985] Re: [system settings] Ubuntu Phone: No intuitive click on "Install..." button after an Ubuntu update

2016-02-26 Thread costales
Hi Thomas :)

Today I have the OTA 9.1 update, then I made a screenshot.

Issue: After download the update, you need to click "Install" button.
This is not so intuitive.

Offtopic: It was nice to met you in person! A big hug mate!! :)
