LiveCD NOT BOOTING of on many configurations is classified as: "importance - MEDIUM"?! What would be "importance highest" - a PC exploding? This is a showstopper, not a 'medium impact' bug! I believe that a distribution should be stopped until this is rectified.
I have the same "/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off" when trying to boot from LiveCD 7.04 (CDs, not DVDs). Configuration: motherboard Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 with AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 1GB RAM, nothing unusual in hardware. LiveCD which DOES NOT boot: Kubuntu 7.04 LiveCDs which boots fine: Ubuntu 7.04. Yes, Ubuntu 7.04 boots fine for me, it is Kubuntu 7.04 which does not. Also booting fine: Ubuntu 6.10, Kubuntu 6.10, Xubuntu 6.10 cheers, Derek -- boot - /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96084 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
