[Bug 840424] [NEW] network manager auto creates auto connection
Public bug reported: I manually connect to my wireless router. But sometimes when I try to connect a popup asks for the stored WPA passphrase and NM cannot connect. In the NM setting then I see an Auto entry that looks like that normally auto connect is performed. But this is not the case. If this phenomen occurs I cannot connect until the auto entry was deleted. But after deleting the entry comes back after a few days. Strange behaviour. [Bug 705763] [NEW] poor graphics performance with xorg 1.9
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg With xorg 1.9 the graphics performance on my Kubuntu 10.10 amd64 is poor. For example if I shift a window on the screen it jerks where before with Kubuntu 10.04 it flew. I have tested the same with Xorg of Kubuntu 10.04 and received a much better peformance. My graphics system contains a Nvidia 9500GT and nvidia-current is installed. Please let me know if further information is needed. Obviously a still existing bug for cooperation of nvidia and xorg 1.9. Same problem here on a Thinkpad R51 with a Mobility Radeon 7500. Happens quite randomly. This is annoying and I propose to change it. For example I never used the network-manager on my desktop PC and I don't want to use it in the future. But after each distribution upgrade I must search and remove all parts of the network manager (on kubuntu e.g. plasma-widget-network-manager too) to bring my network up. Public bug reported: After upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 on my Ideapad S12 I found out that acer_wmi is blocking the wireless network. I blacklisted it and than the networked started working. Same problem here with a Sansa Fuze 8GB. gnomad2 gives me after 2 or 3 minutes: Device 0 (VID=0781 and PID=74c0) is a SanDisk Sansa Fuze. PTP_ERROR_IO: Trying again after re-initializing USB interface Queried Sansa Fuze 8GB Segmentation fault Next I tried it with libmtp from Maverick but no change. Only reverting to libmtp from Karmic solved my problem.
