[Bug 840424] [NEW] network manager auto creates auto connection

2011-09-03 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

I manually connect to my wireless router. But sometimes when I try to
connect a popup asks for the stored WPA passphrase and NM cannot
connect. In the NM setting then I see an Auto entry that looks like
that normally auto connect is performed. But this is not the case. If
this phenomen occurs I cannot connect until the auto entry was
deleted. But after deleting the entry comes back after a few days.

Strange behaviour.

Florian

[Bug 705763] [NEW] poor graphics performance with xorg 1.9

2011-01-21 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

With xorg 1.9 the graphics performance on my Kubuntu 10.10 amd64 is
poor. For example if I shift a window on the screen it jerks where
before with Kubuntu 10.04 it flew. I have tested the same with Xorg of
Kubuntu 10.04 and received a much better peformance.

My graphics system contains a Nvidia 9500GT and nvidia-current is
installed.

Please let me know if further information is needed.

2011-01-19 Thread dorpm
Obviously a still existing bug for cooperation of nvidia and xorg 1.9. I
reverted to xorg of Lucid and received much more performance (see also
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9874780postcount=12).

Hopefully this bug disappears soon!

[Bug 690755] [NEW] poor graphics performance with nvidia-current in maverick

Public bug reported:

With the actual nvidia-current which obviously contains the driver

driver is installed!

[Bug 675291] [NEW] right mouse button not working on Ideapad S12

2010-11-14 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

On my Ideapad S12 the right mouse button does not work with Maverick. I
have already tried the workaround from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+source/linux/+bug/582809?comments=all
but it did not work. I think there is a different reason for that.
Additionally in some cases the it was not possible to click anything.
Please let me know if further information is needed.

[Bug 670086] [NEW] Upgrade installs network-manager

2010-11-02 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Every distribution upgrade installs network-manager and (k)ubuntu-
desktop which I don't need and don't use. This is annoying and I propose
to change it. For example I never used the network-manager on my desktop
PC and I don't want to use it in the future. But after each distribution
upgrade I must search and remove all parts of the network manager (on
kubuntu e.g. plasma-widget-network-manager too) to bring my network up.

Cheers,
Florian

[Bug 529268] Re: Libmtp 1.0.1/1.0.2 doesn't display music on Sansa Fuze

Next I tried it with libmtp from Maverick but no change. Only reverting
to libmtp from Karmic solved my problem.

[Bug 573003] Re: ubuntu 10.04 no sound flashplugin-installer

Solved!

I found a libjavaplugin.so in ~/.mozilla/plugins that obviously caused
the problem.

[Bug 573003] [NEW] ubuntu 10.04 no sound flashplugin-installer

2010-05-01 Thread dorpm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

After installing 10.04 this morning I lost the sound for flash. Only
purging flashplugin-installer and reinstalling it again brought it back
for one time. But if I close firefox then the sound disappeares again
and comes only back after repeating purging and reinstalling. This
procedure can be repeated again and again.

Let me know if further information is needed.

In Jaunty the firmware of the freecom dvb-t usb adapter was already
