[Bug 912941] Re: Broadcom 4331 is not supported
I can confirm I cannot run wireless N with the patch. Without the patch, wireless doesn't work at all. I'm running ubuntu 12.10 on a macmini 2012. [Bug 997075] Re: XOrg uses 100% CPU after upgrade to 12.04 and freezes computer
I haven't used Unity for months because of that. My fix so far is using Gnome Shell with a couple of useful extensions and a different theme. I got used to it and haven't had any crash since. It's unfortunate because I really liked Unity but now I'm a Gnome 3 convert... [Bug 997075] [NEW] XOrg uses 100% CPU after upgrade to 12.04 and freezes computer
Public bug reported: You can read a little bit about my quest to get my computer back to normal on here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11920008#post11920008 After upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 Unity 3D was unusable and slow. I managed to get it fixed by deleting ~/.config however after a couple of minutes my computer freezes and the only way to get it back is using the reset button. I can SSH from another computer and see Xorg is taking 100% of the CPU. It seems Gnome Shell is not affected. I had to uninstall Ubuntu One and all associated packages so my CPU Utilization went back to normal. I reinstalled Ubuntu One and notice the package "desktopcouch-ubuntuone" wasn't installed this time. I suspect it was the one causing the high utilization. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530605 Title: gvfs-mount doesn't always work. gvfsd-smb starts using 100% cpu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 759997] Re: ath5k card disconnects after a while
I'm having the same problem however I'm using an Atheros ath9 wireless card. It works for a day and then next day I lose connectivity. The wifi card continues loaded with a static IP Address assigned to it but I cannot connect to anything. I tried to whitelist ath_pci on /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf but the problem still persists. Also yesterday I enabled the ubuntu backports on my software sources but so far no kernel updates. [Bug 434799] Re: X11 forwarding via SSH does not work after upgrade to karmic
Yes, I'm using Putty from a Windows box and the same happens on the Terminal app on Mac OS X. The version of Putty I'm using is 0.60. In regards to SSH on my Karmic box: $ dpkg -l |grep openssh ii openssh-client 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 secure shell client, an rlogin/rsh/rcp repla ii openssh-server 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 secure shell server, an rshd replacement -- X11 forwarding via SSH does not work after upgrade to karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434799 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 434799] Re: X11 forwarding via SSH does not work after upgrade to karmic
Forgot to mention the loopback address is properly configured on my box: $ ifconfig lo loLink encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:139234 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:139234 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:6975042 (6.9 MB) TX bytes:6975042 (6.9 MB) I found some links on Google related to the "Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket" error on Solaris machines and they were all related to missing IP configuration on the loopbak interface. I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading to Karmic. I've used Ubuntu since Feisty and this is the first time I ever experienced problems with X forwarding on SSH. It worked fine on Jaunty.
