Thanks a lot for your answer. I've checked http://ports.ubuntu.com /ubuntu-ports/dists/zesty/, there is no powerpc directory. Zesty has simply not be ported for powerpc. Re: [Bug 1592566] Re: can't write to a BTRFS disk with my powermac
I installed Lubuntu a month ago, and I first selected BTRFS for the root filesystem, as on my amd64 machines. It didn't work so I choose ext4 for the root file system. Last week, when I first tried tu use my BTRFS fomated external drive, the kernel was in version 4.4.0-22. I couldn't write to it, as I can't now with version 4.4.0.24. ppc64 kernels are not available on http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.7-rc3-yakkety/. I will try to compile it from sources, and let you know if it works. [Bug 1592566] [NEW] can't write to a BTRFS disk with my powermac
Public bug reported: Hi, When I try to write to my BTRFS formated external disk, I get an error message explaining the file system is mounted read only. Indeed, I can still read data in it. [Bug 1583849] Re: dist-upgrade & FF upgrade breaks FF & Midori 16.04 PPC
Hi, On my powermac G5, running Lubuntu 16.04, I downgraded firefox to 45.02, and it worked again (I'm currently using it). I used: sudo apt-get install firefox=45.0.2+build1-0ubuntu1 sudo apt-mark hold firefox I know it's not really satisfactory, that it would be better to try to fix the 46 version bug, but until I manage to succeed in this skill (maybe in 150 years), it allows me to avoid going back to macOS 10.5. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1583849 Title: dist-upgrade & FF upgrade breaks FF & Midori 16.04 PPC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1583849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1516224] [NEW] Backlight control does not work on Eee PC 1005p with Ubuntu 15.10
Public bug reported: Hi, The unity backlight control still changes the value of /sys/class/backlight/eeepc/brightness, but the 4.2 kernel that comes with Ubuntu 15.10 uses /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness instead. When I change/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness manually, the backlight changes. If I boot the Eee PC with a 3.13 kernel, /sys/class/backlight/eeepc/brightness is used, and the backlight control from unity works.
