[Bug 1380702] Re: No keyboards shortcuts in QT apps

2016-06-27 Thread erico_pt
Dear Robert,

Good question.

I discovered that the PyQt5 I had in the Lubuntu machine was from pip3.
So it had the shortcuts working, but had the problem with overlay
scrollbars that make the window crash and throw the error here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qt4-x11/+bug/805303 .

Uninstalled and installed the python3-pyqt5 package and had the non-
working shortcuts back.

Sorry for mixing things and now things makes more sense!

Reporting that this bug doesn't affect pyqt5 on Lubuntu 16.04.
Everything works there - I thought it was the same package.

[Bug 1373495] Re: sudo shouldn't preserve caller's HOME environment variable by default

2016-05-21 Thread erico_pt
Is this the keep_home_by_default first submission?

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~vorlon/ubuntu/natty/sudo/keep_home_by_default/files

The file env.c has the table initial_keepenv_table that lists HOME and
it is used in init_envtables . What could break from correcting this?

[Bug 1577268] [NEW] Brasero can't find libdvdcss when going from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04

2016-05-01 Thread erico_pt
Public bug reported:

"I recently updated one of my rigs from 14.04 to 16.04. After upgrading
Brasero tells me that it can't find libdvdcss. VLC play an inserted DVD,
I see libdvdcss in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux gnu. However, i didn't see it
simply in /usr/lib/ so I created a link there. Still didn't work, so I
copied an older libdvdcss to /usr/lib. Still no joy.

I checked to see what versions of libdvdcss I had installed - 2.2.0 in
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux, 2.1.0 in /usr/lib * mv'ed the.2.1.0 to
x86_64-linux * rm'ed the sym links to 2.2.0 * new sym link to 2.1.0 *
works. "

[Bug 1418706] Re: Vivid: UEFI: blank drive incorrectly detected as existing BIOS-mode install

2016-04-13 Thread erico_pt
The bug happens if at the beginning of the installation you choose to
download updates while installing Ubuntu or if you select download third
party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware, Flash, Mp3 and other
media. Deselecting this dialog box allows the partition to occur without
problems.
