The issue for me was either the motherboard or cpu. It's not just wireless though. I've had the machine hooked up wired for the past week and a half and it still happens if I try to use a torrent. [Bug 498443] [NEW] kernel panic with high network traffic
Public bug reported: My media server locks and needs to be hard reset after high network traffic, this is usually triggered by rtorrent or another machine connected by sshfs. This was previously occuring on 9.04 with a wired connection so I had downgraded to 8.10 and everything was fine. I recently upgraded to 9.10 with a wireless connection (broadcom) hoping this issue had gone away, but it is still occuring. I switched to a terminal and ran rtorrent and was able to get a picture of the kernel message, it is attached (sorry for the blurriness but it should still be readable).
