[Bug 489397] Re: Brightness adjustment goes crazy on Dell Inspiron 1370
Hello, Carsten's workaround (acpi_backlight=vendor in grub.conf) works fine in my laptop only if I use kubuntu-desktop with KDM. With lightdm and kubuntu-desktop not works, and with gdm or lightdm with unity not works too. I have A03 bios version and I use default video drivers (not nvidia proprietary drivers). [Bug 774502] Re: Ubuntu 11.04 initrd fails to boot mult-volume BTRFS filesystem
Had a similar problem, got fixed by using UUID in grub fstab, no extra options like mount=device=/dev/sda2,device=/dev/sdb2 required. Used btrfs as / for Ubuntu server 11.04. Example: #btrfs device add /dev/sdb1 / #btrfs filesystem balance #btrfs filesystem show Check if UUID is the same as in /etc/fstab grub2. #reboot works! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774502 Title: Ubuntu 11.04 initrd fails to boot mult-volume BTRFS filesystem -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 582427] Re: cdrom-detect fails when using usb storage as install device
The cdrom-detect/try-usb=true functionality differs on different USB drivers. On my Kingston DATATraveler 1 GB it does not work at all, but on a Dane Elec 4 GB device it hangs later in the process (Failed loading installer components from CD). I'am trying this on an INTEL D510MO installing Ubuntu 10.10 server release. Same problem using both Universal USB installer Unetbootin from windows on a vFat usb stick. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/582427 Title: cdrom-detect fails when using usb storage as install device -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 582427] Re: cdrom-detect fails when using usb storage as install device
11.04 fixes the issues in at least the the daily server x86_64 builds.
