Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird
i am using ubuntu 8.10. mozilla thunderbird is version 2.0.0.22 (20090608). i expected to download my normal email. it did normally. i mean i can send and download email. however, a closer inspection of the email i have been receiving revealed that when opened, content was of a previous email sent to me a year ago. this happened to all the emails i download thereafter. all the emails were replaced by a document i received months or years ago. even the attachments that accompanied the orig file went missing when you open the file. there was an attachment before you open the file but it disappears when the file is clicked to open. I tried to re install mozilla thunderbird using the synaptic package manager. problem still persisted. I tried to configure evolution to temporarily send/receive email. i was successful. i did not encounter the same problem with evolution.
