[Bug 230622] Re: Lifebook S7010 touchpad is not recognized as touchpad

2012-05-08 Thread frausch
The problem persists in precise. As in previous versions I need to
append i8042.reset and i8042.nomux to the kernel parameters. However,
this computer is hardly supported anymore bu precise, as its cpu does
not boot the pae-kernel.

[Bug 118176] Re: No newlines in signature (*nix)

2009-05-21 Thread frausch
This happens also in ubuntu 9.04

I compared the message code between the one generated by kmail and
thunderbid. There is one header that differs. In kmail the header is:

Content-type: text/plain
 charset="us-ascii"

which leads to a correct formating

The header created by thunderbird is:

Content-type: text/plain
 charset="ISO-8859-15"
 format=flowed

Here all the newlines of the signature a are lost.

[Bug 306099] Re: Pasted links are broken if they are too long

2008-12-08 Thread frausch
Sorry for insisting.

In previous (kde 3.5) versions of kmail, links were not broken, even if
line wrap was enabled. The version 1.10.3 (kde 4.1) breaks links even if
they are surrounded by '<>', which should prevent mail clients from
breaking links.

[Bug 278318] Re: video tearing with textured video on intel card

2008-11-19 Thread frausch
Hi,

I have a Intel 82852/855GM graphics controller on my Lifebook. After
playing about 10 sec of video the display becomes blank. After killing
the x-serverwith ctrl-alt-backspace, the system crashes completely.

I tried to update xserver-xorg-video-intel from the intrepid-proposed,
and added the line

Option "TexturedVideo" "off"

in the device section of the xorg.conf. The problem persists. Is the
xorg.conf the correct place to put this? I read somewhere, that the
xorg.conf is not used anymore.

[Bug 230622] [NEW] Lifebook S7010 touchpad is not recognized as touchpad

2008-05-15 Thread frausch
Public bug reported:

Symtoms: Rocker serving as scrollwheel is not working (no output in xev),
message in Xorg.0.log "no synaptics touchpad detected". Basic functions work.
Probably related: Touchpad acts crazy in the first 10 seconds after start of X
server. Mouse pointer jumps and performs random clicks when touchpad is touched.
Fix: Stop kdm - unload and load psmouse driver several times - restart kdm. I
added the lines

rmmod psmouse
modprobe psmouse
sleep1
rmmod psmouse
modprobe psmouse

in the start section of /etc/init.d/kdm.
