[Bug 2055114] Re: fail2ban is broken in 24.04 Noble

2024-06-26 Thread fredbcode
Yes Joris, my concern is just there is something wrong with the proposed
package, no ? I mean I should at least see some messages about missing
dependencies

[Bug 2055114] Re: fail2ban is broken in 24.04 Noble

2024-06-26 Thread fredbcode
I tried this package, https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fail2ban
(proposed) on a server without fail2ban

I missed something ? I guess this is related to
https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues/3754
But if some dependencies are missed i should have some warning messages from
package, no ?

[Bug 1964114] Re: network interface is removed after latest update (pi4)

I'm unable to boot to 20.04 (on ssd) without any modification
For information 21.10 is working out of box (boot and also network), so for now
I will "lock" my kernel and wait the next 22.04

> There's no change between the two versions that jumps out. We did
enable HugeTLB in 1053 but I currently can't see how this could be the
problem. I noticed that yours is a 2GB model but I tested (successfully)
on a 4GB model. I need to try on a 2GB model.

Maybe I also could try a 1053 kernel package without HugeTLD, to confirm
?

I mean, now I'm using backup disk (ssd) restoration, this take time for each

Maybe there is a more simple way to test and fallback ...

Weird, as you can see there is only an upgrade

> Can you send logs when running the 1053 kernel?

What do you want exactly, kern.log, syslog ? It's less easy for me
because network is down

There is a way to boot on 1052.86 after upgrade ?

Are you using the same bootloader ?

[Bug 1794307] [NEW] docker login fails Cannot autolaunch D-Bus without X11

2018-09-25 Thread fredbcode
Public bug reported:

As reported here https://github.com/docker/compose/issues/6023 docker
login is broken in Ubuntu 18.04 without X11

docker login
error getting credentials - err: exit status 1, out: Cannot autolaunch D-Bus
without X11 $DISPLAY

This error appears on a fresh Ubuntu Server 18.04 install

Temporarily uninstalling golang-github-docker-docker-credential-helpers
package allowed me to run docker login to authenticate with my docker
registry.

After that reinstall golang-github-docker-docker-credential-helpers,
docker-compose, etc is needed

It is just hurtful to works with Ubuntu/Docker with private registry ...

Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
