As Felix said it is not related to a different resolutions. I have two mulitmonitor workstations one first have diffrent resolutions and notice this bug and on second workstation where resolution are the same have the same problem. I still have that problem on ubuntu 11.10 and now in new upgraded 12.04 LTS. Windows placement doesnt work. Of course when I disable place window in ccsm then windows popups correctly but not intelligently arranged on desktop.
