[Bug 1860502] Re: nilfs2 support broken in kernel 5.3.0-26-generic #28~18.04.1-Ubuntu and in kernel 5.3.0-28-generic

2020-06-11 Thread geppo61
Any news on that bug??? It's almost more than 6 months now. Going in
this way will force my board to drop nilfs2 support for rootfs... It's a
pity.

2020-06-11 Thread geppo61
This bug is still alive even in kernel 5.6.12, the last time I tried.
What is the timeline for having this bug resolved??

Anyone has a clue on this???

Same issue here, using kernel 5.4.13 and NILFS2 as rootfilesystem. The system
hangs.
Now I am forced to try a different filesystem for rootfs (i.e. ext4)...

The bug still persists in Firefox (47.0 powerpc in Ubuntu 16.04) but it
works fine using ArcticFox browser in the same system. Apart from the
endianness issue for colors RGBA <---> ABGR..

[Bug 1751269] [NEW] Compiz related bug (Endianness bug somewhere)

2018-02-23 Thread geppo61
Public bug reported:

Hello,
I suspect a endianness problem in this BigEndian Machine (Apple PowerBook G4
with ATI Radeon Mobility 9700). The same architecture (bigEndian) shows no this
specific issue on PowerMac G5 Quad with PCI-Express ATI Radeon HD4670 with VGA
BIOS (not powerpc flashed card).

The problem seems to be a screen changing resolution or similar having
Compiz activated. If I switch the screen resolution on this laptop, the
garbage on the screen is more visible than using NO COMPOSITE Marco Mate
Display Manager.

The problem is enhanced using a second monitor attached to a DVI
connector on this laptop.

Can be easly reproduced.

[Bug 1585778] Re: firefox 46 startup crash on powerpc (32bit)

2016-06-07 Thread geppo61
I wish to post the same issue on Quad PowerPC G5 running Xenial Xerus with MATE
Desktop.
It simply crash no matter if using .config or in the --safe-mode.

As soon as Firefox it is the ONLY usable browser in this system (I tried
Qupzilla, Midori and another I do not recall the name) I wish to have as soon
as possible a working browser.
Please fix.

If you need further assitance or debug log please tell me something:
icj...@gmail.com

Best Regards,
Gianluca
