Public bug reported:

After upgrading to 14.04 plain text auth is not working.

I've solved it with this patch:

I noticed that new version 34.0.1847.116 Ubuntu 14.04 aura (260972) updated 
today in my Ubuntu also lost some tabs on startup.
I have 23 open tabs.
